Good to see Gio back on the field, I know it's only his first game, but Vela was more involved with the offense at West Brom than Gio has been with Racing. Can't wait for him to start building some confidence, there really isn't too much competition for him, he should get a lot more playing time.

I knew it wouldn't be long until someone came out with the comparisons....

Funny, I was about to say their defense is shady, almost 2005 Maza-esque at times. They are who they are.

Given his inactivity, I liked what I saw of Gio. Looking forward to him getting more in tune with his teammates.

Gio has done best when he's been given some run over a number of games, specifically on the NT. He really isn't a player that shines in short periods or bursts as many want him to.

He played 20 mins after not playing competitively in over four months and you expected exactly what? Then you top it off by comparing him to Vela?

    Great observation!

Which is why I acknowledged this being his first game, and stated im looking forward to him getting more playing time and gaining confidence. Do you read the full posts?

Get used to it, sport. They will be compared by just about anyone who follows them for as long as they play. Especially after making their debuts with new teams within a week. Both players haven't had first team action in quite a while, the sky isn't falling, you just witnessed an observation. Get the knot outta your panties.

to score 3 goals of course.

It seems people around here only think it was a good game for someone if they scored, or got an assist.

It was not an observation, more like a terrible opinion.

Peeps stop getting fiesty this is all about Gio and while he only had like 30 minutes that's more than he had at tottenham so here's to Gio making the best of his time at Racing

I'm just happy he is playing, if he gets consistent minutes he will only improve, it's really hard to get going when you get 15 minutes here and there every few months like Gio had been getting at Tottenham

brb, gonna go buy a relegation bound team and then buy a bunch of forwards who don't make or create goals....im sure well have "good' games, right?

That aside......I think he did okay, keeping in mind he was on there for a short amount of time....he'll pick up....but racing needs to step their ball possession up -_-

It was good to see gio play again ever since seeing him in Barcelona. He looked rusty, but he'll get better.

can see quality from gio even if he hasnt competitively played recently. the passes. body movement. head movement.. its all good. more confidence. and back to the top. (well back to the toppest he's been and then climb more on top. ;) )

Not Gio related, but interesting to see that other forwards are speaking out against Tott/Arry.
