Just wanted to know if anyone has the exact location in Ft. Lauderdale where DCU is training. I live here and I wanted to check them out, especially since there is a remote chance that Charlie Davies might join them. I'd be willing to take some photos and post them up here for you guys. Thanks!
Judging by their first Florida practice pictures, it seems they are playing at or near Fort Lauderdale Stadium. Fort Lauderdale Stadium 1301 NW 55th Street Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309 You might want to get in touch with the club to see what practices are open to the public.
Cool, thanks. I contacted them and I'm waiting for their reply. Hopefully at least some sessions will be open. After a bit of thought, though, I'm thinking photography might not be allowed.
Yeah, I saw Benny (along with his brand spankin' new, freshly retired goalkeeping coach) at the MLS Combine when they were down here and it's impressive how untall he looks in person.
If you hear from them, please post here. I'm in Hollywood this week and would like to sneak over as well. Davies apparently tweeted he is on his way to Florida tomorrow. Could be interesting.
No prob. Something tells me that I'm not going to hear from anyone at DCU, though. I'm probably just going to head over there and try my luck. It's not a far drive at all.

No funny camera angle. He appears shorter than everyone but the person who is lowering his head and facing down at the ground (Einstein .
This field is where the MiamiFC practice across from Lockhart. It's a field located behind the baseball field. When I was there last month for the U20's, you walked through the baseball field out to left field - though there is an gate entrance on the left side of the facility (where it says no cars). No stands.
a little hilight package is on the site. Its not much, but you get to see one goal clearly from Branko, and how Cronin gae up a goal. Corb had a good run and cross.
Actually, no, they hever replied. Doesn't matter, I went there today anyway. Here's the deal: Training had been scheduled for earlier in the day. The field had been setup with ad banners and prepared for scrimmage matches. Turns out that there was a NASL combine there. DC staff were watching and scouting players 'til about 5PM. Everyone left after that.
was the beer any good? - were the hot dogs grey and swimming in old dish water? - did they have pupusas?
Is it just me or do the red training jerseys look better than the red uniforms rolled out last week? I love the black on the shoulder.
