Good weekend for the away teams. South China continues to lead with 2 points over Kitchee and 9 points over TSW Pegasus.

TSW Pegasus has signed Chinese Taipei captain Chen Po-Liang to be their Asian player in AFC Cup. Coach Chan Hiu-Ming said Chen Po-Liang is a gifted attacking midfield player, the type of which they lack in their line up. With Chen Po-Liang and Leandro Carrijo joining, he hopes the team can make an impact in the AFC Cup.

Ng Wai-Chiu and Kezman join training for the first time. Seems like Ng Wai-Chiu will wear no. 33 and Kezman no. 36.

My advice for you is to contact a few of the Hong Kong football agents above. Provide them with your career resume and see if they can arrange a trial for you. My recommendation is Barry Tsui (barrtsui at hotmail.com
    Tel:+852/9091 82 17).

If you are a free agent (not registered with any clubs) and you are good enough, then you should be able to join a club even though the transfer window closes after January.

Each club is only allowed to register 7 foreigners and play 4 at the same time. So if you do not qualify as a local player then your chances to play are quite limited.

Hong Kong Olympic football team won 4:0 against Chinese Taipei Olympic football team at Sai Tso Wan sports ground yesterday. Tam Lok-Hin scored two goals.

There were some skirmishes at the end of the game after Au Yeung Yiu-Chung was kicked. HKFA Chairman Brian Leung said on his blog that he and Wilson Wong (team manager) immediately held a talk with all the HK players after the game to warn them about their behaviour as a Hong Kong representative.

You will need a Hong Kong SAR or British National (Overseas) passport to qualify as a local. HK ID card is not enough.

Scott Wilson Ltd, the Change Agent, has finished its proposal on Hong Kong football and will submit to HKFA for approval. HKFA will hold a meeting on 13th April to vote on the proposal. David Davies of Scott Wilson Ltd met the media yesterday to talk about the changes and admitted local football betting maybe a part of the plan.

HKFA chairman Brian Leung said the vote on 13th April will be a disclosed ballot. He claims the proposal is good for the future of Hong Kong football and he does not see why it will be voted down.

You need British National Overseas passport, not just British national.

BNO passports shouldn't say European Union at the top. It sounds like you have a regular British Passport.

If there is *** on your HK ID card under your birthdate, then you can apply for HK SAR passport.

Mateja Kezman, Steven Lo and Nicky Butt had dinner together at the Hong Kong Jockey Club last night. Steven Lo wanted to have dinner with Kezman earlier but he was suffering from jetlag so said they should wait for Butt. Nicky just arrived in the afternoon but said he doesn't suffer from jetlags.

Then relate this information to the football agent I told you before. When you arrive in HK, go to Immigration Department and try to apply for HK SAR passport. You can hold HK SAR passport with British National (Overseas) passport at the same time according to HK govt's FAQ.

New South China team photo. There are now 27 players in the squad.

Steven Lo said he has had trouble signing an Asian player for the AFC Cup, but he will persist until 31st January. He finds it much harder dealing with Asian football clubs and their agents, they are always asking for transfer fee, signing on fee...etc. He said the club does not have that money, both Butt and Kezman joined on free transfers.

Indonesia have maybe lined up two friendlies against Hong Kong ahead of their Olympic Qualifier against Turkmenistan in February. The games will, may, could, take place on 9 and 12 February but the schedule may or may not change.

Is it the Hong Kong Olympic NT , the friendly against Malaysia NT on 9. February will go as planned ?

Malaysia NT vs Hong Kong NT on 9 Feb is already on FIFA list.

Maybe Indonesia Olympic NT wants to play Hong Kong Olympic NT during that period you mentioned?
