An unfortunate title, but a great event.

    Here Come the Champions
    cleveland.com (Cleveland Plain Dealer)

An idiot editor evidently thinks a '9' is really a '7' and that Michael Balogun - a bit player - is UA's captain, and morphed from a black guy into a white guy of Balkan extraction. (EDIT - editor corrected it to Michael Nanchoff)

Do you know if the Timbers are going to be playing any friendlies in Casa Grande?

That's an easy drive for me.

No more waiting for Nery Alberto Castillo. The Mexican striker was transferred, via loan for the next six months to Aris FC.

In a statement, the club officially Hellenic today the arrival of former player for the MLS Chicago Fire to the league in Greece, where he spent his best days as a player dressed in the shirt of Olympiacos.

After tested in various clubs, got the chance to participate in a reality that, as a prize, conferred the possibility of signing a contract with an MLS team. "When I was in the U.S., looked at the guys in the selection as a more swelling. Stand before this opportunity is something I always dreamed of, "recalls 19-year forward, in a completely different picture. A brief stint in Dallas and then travel to London for a trial at Chelsea.

They have a soccer sports complex down there.

Not a stadium, but from what I understand, last season a few of the teams practicing there playing friendlies against our semi-existent team the Sahuaros.

I feel that MLS is about 15 to 25 years away from Pro/Rel if they do decide to go that way.

I think if i were to do Promotion/Relegation, It would be different from what they do in Europe. Instead of Single Table, It would be a 2 Conference thing. Instead of a League Single Table it would be a Conference Single Table. The League would be capped at 32 teams and it would be a home/away Conference Play and East teams would not play west teams until the playoffs. Division 2 will be separated the same way that D2 is. The best 4 in the D2 east would go into a playoff with the worst 4 in the D1 east. Same thing with the D2 west and D1 west.

But before this happens their all the D1 and D2 teams must have their own Stadiums that are at the Min. seating 18,000. The Leagues must be stable and all have good academy.

But like i Said we are 15 to 25 years away before we can even Consider this a Possibility.

Actually I think the reverse is true. Right now TFC is worth $80 to $100m but in 15 to 25 years it would be valued at $500m at least. Absolutely no chance the owners are risking that kind of money. It would be like the Toronto Maple Leafs agreeing to NHL pro/rel with the American Hockey League.

I'm pretty sure there are other threads for pro/rel discussion.
