The fact that there is even people saying that Messi shouldn't have won the award with the year he had is what I am talking about. These are the very sentiments that add up over time.

Most of the people crying over the fact that Messi won the award are Spaniards who wanted someone from Spain to win. The are also Ronaldo, Portuguese and ManUtd fanboys crying about it. It's not surprising. It was completely expected. Messi being the best pisses a lot of people off. Haters gonna hate.

Cristiano is not going to win another one as long as Messi is there. So the Real Madrid fans as long as Spaniards and whomever need to

I am tired of their stupidity and being so damn blind.

everytime there's a poll, Messi always came up on the top... whether its FIFA or goal.com or anything else... the fact is, there are more more people that hates Ronaldo. Also....FIFA love good boy image and Messi fit them even more which mean Ronaldo fans will keep crying even more over the next decade. If Ronaldo and Messi goalscoring statistic are identical (Let say one of them scoring slightly less or more), Messi will end up being on top.

Dont forget Messi was runner twice at very young age when Kaka and Ronaldo wins it.. and once he really wins during the 6 thropies season, he made the rest looks like nothing on the poll result.

Messi isnt going to stop scoring and assisting for Barca week after week... and after the WC, he seems already break that national team curse by scoring in victory over Spain and Brazil.

    Exactly.

2 for Newell'sOld Boys and 2 for River Plate. :D

All this bollocks Barca created Messi. You watch him as a little five year old and the hallmarks are all already there. You cannot teach talent.

Same as for all this bollocks di Stefano is Spanish or Sivori is Italian. They are as Argentine as they come.

How Diego never won this award is mind boggling considering his performances in the late eighties.

Also forgot to add when Messi plays deep the analysis shows he is just as good a passer as Xavi and infact makes more penetrating passes.

The award was reserved to european players only, until 1995 I guess.

as you said. the only people crying about this were Marca people who wanted a spaniard to win. they had no problem mourinho won, there was no complaining that he shut out to spaniards, but because messi is a cule, they flipped out

also i don't see messi actually going to madrid, i was just saying, he should go to another team and show people that barca would be no where without messi, just like they would have been no where 4 years ago without Dinho.

All this nonsense about Barcelona being the greatest team ever, having the best academy ever, its all a bunch of BS to me. Barcelona is where it is as a club thanks to 3 foreigners: Cruyff, Ronaldinho, and Messi. Cruyff as a coach changed the club, Dinho got them the world wide popularity, and now messi is Dinho's equal, soon to surpass him. Xavi people forget was way down the pecking order in 2006. messi as an 18 year old was more important to that team than xavi. xavi to me is the most overrated player of all-time.

also this award is a complete joke. IN 2007, the best player in the world was riquelme, but because he wasn't playing in Europe he didn't get the award. If its the world player of the year, it shouldn't matter where you play, especially considering what riquelme accomplished that year for club and country. Messi finished 2nd in voting, and Riquelme scored 5 goals and 5 assists in the same tournament but wasn't even in the voting  it was then i realized this award is a joke. the national team captain of the seychells gets a say in who wins, nuff said

the way barca dominated possession, they definetely not relying on one player. But whoever said its always their youth product that become best in the world is a dumbass... Romario, Maradona, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Messi... lets face it, Brazil and Argentina always produce the best on the planet not Spain... or England

I heard Genoa wants him too. On any case he'd go on loan until the end of the season. Boselli will go on loan to Genoa.

This is off topic but other than Zabaleta and Ansaldi do we actually have any RB/LB worth a look in our league?

Tevez scored 2 goals, the first one is a superb solo goal
Zabaleta assisted the second with great cross

Maybe a little but then again we are playing really well. If we werent then I probably wouldn't mention them. I forgot to mention Clemente. I also wanted to mention Angeleri but he's not domestic anymore.

Milito looks much better under Leonardo. He scored today and set up a nice goal for Eto'o with a backheel.

Angeleri is eating the bench at Sunderland. Bad move for him. He should have gone to La Liga.

Definitely a bad move. The injury that kept him from La Seleccion also sidelined his career.

I haven't seen Leonardo's Inter, do you think it has a chance in Serie A?

They've only played I think 3 matches in Serie A with Leonardo. Cambiasso actually scored 3 goals in 2 of them.

But they look good and Sneijder isn't even fit and hasn't played under Leonardo. They might make a pull at the end but right now they're a bit far from the leaders.

They are 8 points behind with a game in hand. So they might make it if Milan slips up.

Also what an absolute legend Zanetti is, the man gets better with age like a fine wine. What the hell was Diego smoking when he left him out of the world cup?

They're missing 2 matches. So if they play both of those matches and win one of them they'll probably be like 5 points behind Milan
