Salcido looked very good against Blackburn. I can see why he is starting over Pantsil now.

Midfield didn't look that good today - Etuhu, Davies and Murphy. Duff had more defensive duties and didn't get as much into the attack.

Is it me or is Hughes using more overlapping play by the defensive backs into the corners than Roy used to?

Anyone have any news on the Dembelé injury? Daily mail reports two week recovery period, but I don't consider them a reliable source and that seems an awfully short time for what appeared to be a really bad injury.

I didn't find anything else other than the DM scoop, which as you know may or may not be true.

Quote from Hughes on FulhamFC.com (dateline yesterday/tuesday):
“We’ll know in the next 24 hours the full extent of Mousa’s injury but if he’s avoided serious injury then he’s a very lucky boy,” Hughes told fulhamfc.com. “We’ll have to wait for it to settle before we can have it scanned."

So we should know today. Which means someone will probably confirm for real in tomorrow's news cycle...

And for the record, we should have a professional MMA fighter on our roster, to be activated to the bench just for games against Stoke and subbed in "when needed". ********ing thugs need a few knees shattered.

News conference today says it's looking like he'll be out 2-3 weeks. Kamara could possibly return this weekend and Andy Johnson will start training with first team next week.

    Wow!

Sparky cannot buy Baird enough drinks to repay this one.

And to think, it's only been 500 days since our last league road win.

I know it was against a lesser side in the FA Cup, but 6 goals is still nice to see. This makes me feel more confident that the recent better form is not just a fluke.

They pretty well dominated West Brom also so at least that indicates to me that they are somewhat better than they have often looked so far. If they hadn't played well against lesser teams, then there really should be something to worry about.

True they've played well against everyone (with the exception of the Man City and West Ham matches). Both games against Tottenham were close, Arsenal was close, Chelsea was close. But in the end they didn't take points from any of those games. Likewise, they haven't looked bad against the lesser team, but they also haven't walked away with three point often enough.

While the current run of form has been promising, the fixture list isn't that kind for the rest of the season. They only have 4 matches against teams currently below them in the table and all 4 of those matches are on the road.

I don't think they're in any real danger of the drop, but I'm also expecting the rest of this season to be a grind.

Well, that result was par for the course, with the course = this season.

Thank God they scored to level the game...

Deuce with the double! Take that freaking Stoke.

3 wins in 5 and finally some breathing room.

So... the big 4-0 drubbing we handed Spurs this weekend got me thinking...

Can we simultaneously avoid getting pulled back into a relegation battle and have a run at the FA Cup?

Fulham are playing well right now. I think they have settled in and will continue their good form. I don't think the new addition in the transfer window will have much impact. Getting Zamora back will though. I expect they will end up 10-12 in the table before end of the season.

As long as they aren't sucked into the relegation battle the last 3 weeks, I'll be content. Hughes is pickup up some momentum, so I'm hopefully for next year.

Man, was anyone actually able to watch the Chelsea game?

How bad was the penalty miss?? I saw that the game ended 0-0, and my reaction was "eh, ok that's fine." Then I read that Fulham missed a penalty in stoppage time and my reaction was "oh no, come on"...."please don't let it have been Dempsey"....then I saw it WAS in fact my favorite player Dempsey, who I would have LOVED to see beat Chelsea at the death. Man, that sucks. Was it a good shot and just a great save? Or was it a bad pk miss. I guess all pks that don't end in a goal, are bad, but you know what I'm asking.

No it was Dempsey. He was dog tired. It was a very lazy attempt almost Berbatov like. It had no pace and was he was going for the corner but wasn't accurate at all. Cech did dive the right way but he didn't really stop it. The ball found him. It was a tired penalty and I thought someone else should have kicked it.

Dang, that sucks. I imagine Murphy would have taken it, but he was taken out of the game in the in the 83rd minute. I always hope for Dempsey to take it, and this would have been a dream scenario had it ended with a win...too bad it didn't.

A win tomorrow at Manchester City would move us to 10th in the table! Come on Fulham!

Also, you can catch the game at 9am Central time on ESPN2...in glorious high definition :)

Nice handshake between Hughes and Mancini at the end. Mancini is such a twit.

Fulham continued their fine play yesterday, beating Blackburn 3-2. Hoping to see them pick up a couple more wins in their next two matches.

I really like how they have played since the beginning of 2011. With a fit Zamora, they will have more scoring potential which should make them a real threat.

Wish i could see them play this year.

After the way Dempsey's PK against Chelsea was flubbed, I'm glad Zamora took this one.

yeah, but the two of them combining for a goal against Everton was a beauty. I bet Zamora will be in the starting lineup next week.
