How do you like the specialis? Better than your lasers?

How did you break them in? Just wear them out a lot?

I've tried with my SL and SF2 before, but no luck.
They hurt my feet so badly. I couldn't get over.

People say just keep wearing them and it will get better eventually,
but I don't know if they will get better any. It that bad too me.

TBH, it feels like I'm playing a pair of dress shoes or some shoes made of chunky plastic.

This is why I THANK GOD i found out about the Mizuno Morelia ULs. Lighter then my old Vapor IIIs(my fav pair of Nike Mercurials/Vapors), and the comfort is second to none with leather. Feel like mittens on my feet lol.

I will never go back to plastic boots!

Hmm they are so different. I love the flexibility of the speciali soleplate, but at the same time I love the stiffness of the elites soleplate. I like the lining of the lasers better it makes for a cushy ride. I also like how with the synthetic it returns to it's normal shape and doesn't get overstretched. I think the soleplate on the specialis is too narrow because I find my foot slipping off of it sometimes which can be uncomfortable. I haven't tried the standard leather lasers yet since it's snowing outside, but I can't imagine them being to different from the elites. I know the material will be different, but the lining is so thick and padded that the difference will probably be minimal.

Thanks. Seems like a random question but I've had experience with lasers and wanted a comparison. They scream class to me and I'm really tempted to grab a pair. Only problem is with my luck they'll get wrecked in a week by rain or something.

    loll @ dress shoes.
Yeh unfortunately the only way to break them in properly is to wear them. Might be a bit different for me because I use to wear vapors every year up to the SL's then kind of gave up on them until I picked these up cheap. So might be a bit harder for you.

To break these in I basically just wore them bit by bit. Started with 20 minutes where the pain was a lot, my big toe use to get very sore. Then the next time wore them a bit longer, then next time a bit longer and so on. But I used them for training by myself just to take it easy and when they got too sore I would rotate them with my morelia UL's. Also what helped a lot was wearing them around the house without any socks on so your feet sweat in them. Another thing you gotta make sure to do when you wear them the first couple of times is put some vaseline or petroleum jelly on the heels so you don't blisters there because that area causes me a bit of trouble at the start.

Took me about 4-5 times of wearing them to break them in, now they are pretty soft and have moulded to my feet well. I thought the same thing don't worry, I was kicking myself when I just got them because I thought they were too small for me but now they are fine. So if you're willing, stick with them and they should come good (unless you got the wrong size for you) tbh though these are just my training boots will never replace my mizuno's ;)

I haven't used the laser IIs yet and I'm not sure if I will. They are very very tight so I'm not sure if I want to keep them or not. I think they are a lot bulkier than the laser IIIs too. The laser IIIs feel sleeker and more fitted to a human foot.

Lol sorry my comment was misleading. I meant I've worn lasers and wanted to see what you thought of then compared to the speciali because I'm considering buying a pair of the specialis.

I stumbled upon a 2nd hand sports store near my new apartment, and found a certain pair of boots. I had a pair of Nike T90 III's that I never wore, or intended to wear, so managed to swiftly trade! So here they are, my MV's in SG, previously owned and customized. Most importantly of all, the previous owner was kind enough to break them in for me! They're as soft as Copa's now.
