I am sorry to pass on such a grotesque story. In the process of slamming Henry for buying Liverpool, a Boston Globe columnist (Alex Beam) stated that the Liverpool fans killed 96 people in a riot (in reference to the Hillsborough Disaster, in which poor stadium design and incredibly bad crown management caused the deaths of 96 fans). To make matters worse, the Boston NPR station (WGBH) program "Beat the Press" has grossly minimized the harm caused by blaming Hillsborough on a fan riot. Liverpool fans have suffered enough without this nonsense. I would ask fellow American football fans to read/view these pieces, judge for yourself, and make your views known to the Boston Globe and WGBH on the appropriate bulletin boards. The Globe has corrected its error, but has not offered an apology for a grievous and irresponsible error. WGBH has compounded the problem by an arrogant indifference to the facts in this matter. That's almost 2 weeks old. Give it a rest at this point. I know the Globe and the columnist have already taken enough heat when it happened. Interesting point though, the Globe at one point was a part owner of the Boston Red Sox.
Still is. Many Globe and New York Times articles include disclaimers that NYTCO owns slightly under 1/5th of New England Sports Ventures.
