I've always liked Hejduk. He can definitely help on the offensive end. The only problem I have with him is he can play recklessly at times. So, I like this if we re sign Harrington...IF. But, damn, I feel bad for Conrad if he has to finish his career with Chivas. That team is a mess.
I understand why the team let Jimmy go, but it's still hard for me to imagine him playing anywhere else, especially with a team I loathe...
Does that mean they would simply retire or be traded? The player can't simply refuse a contract offer and then be a free agent, right?
My understanding is that team now owns their rights. Any team in MLS that wants him has to work out a trade with the drafting team. We own the rights to Hejduk, Chivas owns Jimmy's rights. I feel like Jim Carrey in Dumb and Dumber thinking we could trade Chivas to get Jimmy's rights and sign him at a different number.

Because LA wanted Hejduk but couldn't get him so they asked us to take him in exchange? Maybe there's a little more to the deal than just the straight up rights trade? Just throwing stuff out there.
hoping there's more to the trade other than us helping out the Gals ... If we really wanted Sassano then it's a risk(of sorts) to pick up Frankie for LA then hope that Sassano falls to LA(maybe not ... hope ... but you know). Anyway, just weird.

That's a good trade. Sassano is versatile like Jewsbury and gives us a solid replacement at RB if Harrington does sign

Everything out of Hungary when we signed him was that it was an 18 month loan/contract, obviously that's over now, doesn't look like we're bringing him back, disappointing a bit, but wonder why he wasn't in the re-entry draft then... But then again Kempin isn't on that list either...
Two possibilities: Since he was technically on loan, perhaps MLS does not have his rights and he could not be in the re-entry draft. Could just be an oversight leaving his name off. I think we will find out soon.
