    OTher news...

    ARsenal 2-1 now.

They win this and Shaktar draw, ARsenal are group winners, and Bayern doesn't meet them, right???? (based on goal differential)

Edit: announcer on ticket of that game just answered my question... Braga need to beat Shaktar

Is it me or is Schweini hogging out Gomez.

There some instances where you could have played Gomez but decided to shoot.

Hes not having the best game tonight.

Arm Chair Coach: Schweini Out >> Pranjic In (Kross moves to the AM Role)

I think he is doing well enough. Its 3-0 and has been injured for some games so its obvious he may want to try to score. Hes been solid in my opinion. Not stellar, but solid.

Gomez clearly feels frustrated..... Silly handle ball to stop cross going over his head.

He missed a couple nice crosses in the 1st half. He's not all there today.

We've really been stretching the field with good long passes this game.

I always have Gomez on suicide watch, and who can blame him.

He must be thinking if he doesn't score in this or next game he's toast in LvGs book.

Now instead he can think of how the next yellow card will give him a one match suspension.

    ROFL....

    Did anyone see that....?

after Gomez missed the shot, the camera panned over to LvG just in time to cacth him shaking his head and crossing something out on his notepad.

Gomez is and will most likely be an odd case for a while. He has that goal scoring instinct. It always looks like he's ready to get into goal scoring opportunities but his abilities also mislead him. he often tries things that are not within his capacity as a footballer. Sometimes his cutbacks work, sometimes they don't. He has to learn against what type of opposition to play what way. Against weaker opposition he can be dominant as he's hard to track and mark because of his size but against better ones he can be his own worst enemy.

For a striker he also needs to get far more shots on goal. That last attempt was unacceptable.

All in all, good match for some. I thought the midfield did a fine job, and the defense looked good. Bayern took their collective feet off the gas after the third goal and it looked as if they had one foot already in the next match, so to speak.
