    1. Ha ha ha - I'm sure. Most of your friends are college graduates who still live with mommy and daddy. That's a pretty interesting and unique subset of the population.

Since you were packing boxes while these friends of yours were going to college, how'd you meet these guys - hanging around the Northwestern student union discussing Euripides over coffee? Or did you wow them with your intellectual prowess while explaining your 9/11 theories?

    2. Oh, and I'm sure they're really good ones, too.

How'd I meet them? Most of us have been friends since childhood. Clearly you've never had any of those lol. I could see why, no one in their right mind would enjoy your company.

Yes they are good ones, but again, what would you know about having connections and obligations to people? Nothing, you're a recluse and you probably got no ********** in college.

lol I'm done, go cry yourself to sleep again.

Well, having worked in finance for 20+ years and having owned a home for almost all that time, I think I might be just a little bit more self-aware than your homeschooled existence and your expertise with cardboard boxes and packing peanuts.

You fit the profile of someone who is completely incapable of being self-sufficient - an only child spoiled rotten by mom and dad, with no street smarts, education, or people skills. I'm guessing that's the real reason you live at home, live on the internet, won't post pictures here and live vicariously through this likely imaginary circle of college educated friends who also live in the basements of their parents.

Truly sad. Your parents came all the way here to forge a new life for themselves and you, and look how you turned out. Way to grab the brass ring, Jethro.

Why so you could print it out and cut holes where my eyes should be and hang it up on your wall?

lol you're like a broken record, constantly bring up my job(s) or my family, maybe you're not clever enough. It's like ingrained in your psyche, you have to find a way to feel better about yourself because you're miserable and have no friends. You even wanted to lure loko to you because you're so desperate for company. Haha that get together with the Zenit fans is probably the highlight of your year and I bet they can't stand you either.

I'm clever enough to recognize that someone who is almost 30 years old and who still lives with his parents tends to be maladjusted. Or maybe FootyFan was right - maybe you were just born stupid.

Either way, Dima/Dorfman, I do feel sorry for you.

OK, 25 then. You think 5 years makes a big difference? How many 25 year olds still live with mom and dad? Still means you fit the maladjusted profile to a T.

I turned 23 in May. At least half the people my age still live with their parents I think it's safe to say. One of my best friend's works two jobs and struggles big time just to live solo in a small seemingly affordable place. I have my reasons for not moving out just yet. Seriously enough already, go ahead and get the last word.

Un....no. That's not safe to say - like I said, that's a very interesting subset of friends you have. I guess that old saying "birds of a feather flock together" isn't just a timeworn adage.

    1. That's a big no.
    2. Hah, oh for 2.
    3. Nein
    4. I guess, 3rd shift counts.
    5. No, completely incapable of self-sufficiency, has no desire to move out.
    6. What normal parents wouldn't? Of course they may understand the hand that they've been dealt by now.
    7. ...and you meet virtually none of the benchmarks.

I apologize, Dima. I was wrong. You belong where you are.

Haha I'm not a huge fan of caviar either. I only put a tad bit on my buterbrot, I can't stand a whole slice covered with caviar, gives me bitter beer face

Going back to the issue of match fixing how does this work

is it usually the bigger, wealthier teams paying to ensure they win against the smaller teams ?

is it the players from the smaller clubs, or the referees (or both) getting paid ?

is it is more likely to happen when the when the big teams are at home ? or does it also happen when they play away ?

or are we talking about the Caucasus teams paying the referees to help them win their own home games ?

90% of these matches are with the Caucasian Club (Terek. Nalchik, Anji and Alania). In 2008 and 2009, very many matches had bought Rubin, so they became champions.
Tipical Caucasian derby(fixed match) - only last month

It takes two to tangle Rusich. Tom' sold their game to Anzhi, it take two parties not one. Amkar bought the second to last game, they're about as far from the Caucasus as you can get.

It's one those things RPL fans know just by watching the game.

What clues did you find from the match that would lead you to make these audacious assumptions?

Audacious? They're about as opposite from audacious as you can be. ;)

You have to look with the ferocity or lack there of in the tackling, for example. The most obvious sign is when a defender runs away from a cross, trust me if you've seen enough matches you'd notice it.

Hey you're a Porto fan so you should know better than anyone. Kidding man...sort of. :D

ASking dima to prove his conspiracies results in being given youtube videos and telling us we are all brainwashed by the man.

But games are sold, although not on a huge scale. You can see the defenders not doing anything on the goals, standing, no tackles, etc. Plus teams with no form like anzhi winning a bunch in a row.

Porto, by the way, won another match today on a ridiculous penalty in our favor.

Considering the relatively high profile of the RPL I would have to disagree. You'd expect it to happen like the Serbian or Bulgarian league, not Russia, Portugal, or Italy. And you'll never see a calipoli scandal in Russia, the football powers at be have way too much power to be outed like that.
