VISCAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA EL BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARCA. We absolutely destroyed them. The capitulation of madrid was legendary. PERFECT TENS TO EVERYONE ON THE TEAM. It only made sense for us to play Pedro and have a midfield consisting of Xavi, Iniesta and Busquets. I must remind everyone of that group stage match when we trounced Inter 2-0 because of Iniesta and Xavi's dominance.

Everyone played so well....let us not forget the plaudits for Valdes for some big plays and Abidal and his pace were so necessary out there. Of course Puyol was a rock, and Pique so smooth and calm. Alves changed it up, he didn't attack as much as he normally does. Villa played one awesome match, his setup of Pedro, and the two goals he scored off of Messi's sublime passes. It started with Xavi and Iniesta being imperial and ended with two Barcelona youngsters capping the humiliation of those clowns....great cross in by Bojan.

As usual the idiots resorted to thuggery....ramos is an idiot and was rightfully sent off and carvalho should have been off for his deliberate handball. Haha madrid were a joke....its funny because everyone was bigging up "the special one", but they couldn't play a lick of defense. Maybe this will show the rest of La Liga (starting with Valencia) that they can have a go at los putos. I really think Villareal can put the sword to them. FIVE. FACE PALM.

Again, wonderful performance from Barcelona. This was glorious. Thank you FC Barcelona.

Total demolition. A beautiful game in all facets of the game for Barcelona.

Barca is just an incredible team to watch, always; but it's one thing to do it against Almeria and another to do it against Real Madred. Unbelieveable.

    Lol

That ass is always so dirty. Loves to hire hitmen for his weak teams. Didn't work today Special-ed One. You need your Inter boys back, and that terrible ref as well to get anything close to beating Barca.

Great game and it definitely was Un Classico!

Hello, my fellow Cules! I rarely post here, but I feel now after such a performance from our beloved Barcelona, I should post a few comments.

First off, I think that Barca's players need to be put in jail for this merciless rape they performed on Real Madrid! They simply molested them over and over throughout the whole game. And I must say I loved every bit of it!

Second, there is no other team on this planet that comes even remotely close to Barcelona's class and ability. They are not unbeatable, of course, but their play is just joy-gasmic. I would even go as far as to say that no other club team in the history of the game comes close to the current Barca team under Pep.

Third, Mourinho knows that with these players he has no chance to beat Barca! Did he instruct his players to get booked like this? He looked very upset from his players, trying hard to subdue his frustration and show calmness. But you could see in his eyes how he really felt. I'm sure he will analyze this game until April 17th.

Fourth, did Ronaldo come out for the second half? What did he do besides shove Pep? Messi understood that it wasn't going to be his day to score and found a way to contribute with two magnificent assists to Villa and showed once again why he is a better player than Cristiano, who went hiding as usual.

In conclusion, this was an excellent display of Barca's style, philosophy and vision of how this game should be played. Before the game, I heard that 400 million people around the world were going to watch this derby. If true, then 400 million people saw greatness in the flesh, wearing the blaugrana kit and playing soccer. It's not even fair to say anymore that Barca's play is like playing PlayStation or some computer game, because even on those games it's impossible to duplicate such greatness.

    Visca Barca!!!

Madrid/Mourinho, cabron salud el campeón!!!! LOL

I wonder if the Real players were given the choice of lube or raw before the match :p

They brought up something I was curious about in the first half. Why switch Di Maria and Ronaldo, putting Ronaldo on the right and Di Maria on the left? Was it really because they thought Di Maria would be more of a help defending Alves? I thought it was so that Ronaldo would face the older Puyol more and not get owned by Pique so much.

    Didn't work.

Does anyone have or know where I can get the stats for this game. I'm particularly looking for a) time of possession (must have been easily 70-30% or even 75-25%) and b) passes attempted/completed, that sort of thing. The amount of time Barca had on the ball and the things they did with it were incredible.

wahooooo...what a sick sick game. Although I didn't know the score, I had an inkling that it was an old school ass kicking via some unfortunate texts, which sort of dulled the effect.

Be that as it may, wahoooooooo...

For some reason, I have a hankering for some Subway...

BTW, I can't be the only one who almost charged through the TV screen when Ronaldo pushed Pep....what f***ing scumbag.

Woah, hold on a minute mate. Great, great performance by Barca, probably their best under Pep, thoroughly enjoyable and I would imagine there is not even anyone in Ronaldo's family who thinks he is better than Messi. But you are getting carried away by describing the current Barca team as the best ever. That is one hell of a clim, of the top of my head I am aware of great teams from the past, such as the Real Madrid team of Di Stefano and Puskas, the Ajax side of Cruyff and Neeskens, the AC Milan team of Van Basten, Rijkard, Guillit, etc.

So I think we should hold of making the claim of greatest team ever. In my opinion the current Barca side are the best club side since the AC Milan side I mentioned, in five years time if they have won the CL 3 or 4 times in a row you might be able to make that claim, but not right now. For the moment just enjoy the win and performance last night.;)

What can I say. Congrats. That was just about as close to perfection as I have ever seen. Great football. Not sure how good Madrid are as they could not get the ball. Anyway I do not think I have ever seen a team control a game in that manor and what impressed me more was the amount of work Barca put in off the ball. Every single player presses when they do not have possession.

It's going to be tough going back to watching the SPL this weekend...

I definitely agree. I can understand someone complaining if their kid's team gets mauled by another team as it is different at that age. When you are playing in the top levels of the biggest sport in the world, you have no one to get mad at other than yourself if you can't stop the other team causing the result to be a blow out.

    Amazing performance

Look, in the age where players have to play so many matches, get scutinized for every misstep, and seem to be getting stupider and richer by the second, I think there's a hell of a claim to call this Barca one of the top 3 teams EVER. A few more La Ligas and another Champions League would push it over the edge. Everytime I watch Barcelona, I just try to remind myself that this might be the best soccer I will ever watch and enjoy it instead of critiquing them tactically or whatever.

Well said. My exact sentiments!!! Totally humiliated them, then added salt to the wound towards the end with a stellar display of passes, backheels... it was pure fun at that point. Totally "unnecessary", hehe, but "que es fotin". Spectacular. Marca, AS, they all have to eat their words now. So does Mourinho, or as my brother called him yesterday - Mouerto. :)
