Bonds wasn't appreciated blah, blah, blah who gives a ********. He was great, he cheated, now he is remembered for cheating instead of being a great player. I don't feel sorry for him, he knew what he was doing. No one is defending Sosa, Mcgwire, and Caminiti. They are in the wrong just as Bonds are so stop justifiying why Bonds cheated and how he is not as corrupt as they are.

Lmao at you deflecting this to Reilly. It's his fault not Bonds. Maybe he injected the HGH into Bonds' fat ass

Other people taking PED's doesn't justify Bonds taking them and ruining his legacy. He isn't the greatest of all time, he is far from a god, get over it. He was seen as a great player and would still be seen that way had he not taken roids, now he's just seen as a joke. The only thing keeping people from now ignoring how good he was when mark and sammy were hitting homeruns, is the fact that he too took roids. Do you not think he would've got his due (which he really already had) had he not taken roids once everyone else was found out? People would've thought "holy crap, here's this guy puttin up numbers without all that juice, HOF."

What are we doing here if we can't go off on tangents and debate semantics?

And even Caminetti isn't an example of someone who would not have been a professional athlete if it weren't for steroids. He was a good, albeit not great, player before he started using PEDs in the mid-90s.

    Agreed.

Roids can enhance perfomance, but they won't turn a non-athlete into a superstar, anymore than a "smart pill" will turn Prince into Einstein.

Are you trying to say that Prince isn't a genius?

If so, I must beg to differ, good sir.

I'll vote for any new stadium. That Dome sucks. Zigi is probably the best owner Vikes have ever had: has invested smartly in the team, and hasn't burned any political bridges. The dome really limits their revenues, and has no atmosphere inside or around the stadium. Any new stadium should address all that.

Today's elections may have a bearing on if/when any deal is done - so we'll see.

True. Vikes were supposed to make another Super Bowl run, and are tied with the Lions at 2-5 right now.

Not that the Gophers are really great, but their only win was against Middle Tennessee State in their first game. Have lost to "powerhouses" like South Dakota and Northern Illinois at home and sit 1-8 with a 1-year old brand new on-campus stadium that won't sell out now.

I won't begin to talk about the Twins, T-Wolves or Wild - but you get the idea...

So if sports all seem to even out, let's hope that Arsenal does indeed make up for our other depressing teams. I'll root against all these other teams if it means Arsenal wins at least one major (not CC) piece of Silverware this season.

Great rendition. I really didn't know Prince could do it like that until I saw this.

He who knows this, knows his Giants history. Where'd you grow up, Prince?
Last night I was trying to pin down when I really started to pay attention to the Giants and actually know what was going on. I remember Bobby's rookie year, but I also remember being really disappointed at the Cepeda trade, which was a couple years earlier.

You, sir, need to go back and listen to the first few bars of the solo on "Down By the River" again. :p
Seriously, though, I saw George perform that song (actually it was a whole show) at the Oakland Coliseum Arena in November '75.

Man, Yoss, I thought you were going to bring up "the artist formally known as" one. He was a genius. He played almost every instrument in his songs and used his child's heart beat as the drum beat in a couple of his songs. Pure genius, completely insane and unbelievably creative. Great musician even if his music may not have suited some people's taste.

Actually, I just read this blurb on him, and it summarizes him perfectly:

Prince Rogers Nelson is truly blessed and a true professional when it comes to what he does. Every song that he has produced, he has done in his own studio by himself, without any backup people to sing, play any instrument, or fooer any assistance. The man plays at least 40 different instruments, and has a vocal range from bass to falsetto and can outplay even Engwe Malmsteen in terms of crossover classical (Schubert, Beethoven, etc..), and is arguably one of the best performers of the 21st cent

To be honest none of that ever bothered me. What really gets on my nerves is when they stand on my feet all the time.

I can't even explain why it drives me so crazy :p

*of course they do weight at least 15 kgs

I hear ya. My little girl does this thing every morning when I wake her up in which she'll grab my index finger and will refuse to let it go for about fifteen minutes. My wife thinks it's a sign of affection. I just find it annoying as hell.

Does Gareth Bale have his inner thigh tattooed? If it is, it's quite possibly one of the gayest tattoos I've ever seen.
