I'll do mine Grisha if it's OK mit joo, from least to most important :

    Benfica 2-0 Pacos Fereira
    Chernomorets 1 -1 Stal'
    UCLA 21-29 Arizona
    Lakers 114-106 Suns
    Rangers 1 - 1 Inverness CT
    Stanford 41-0 Washington
    Inter 1 -0 Genoa
    Barcelona 5-0 Sevilla
    Ajax 4-1 Heracles
    Dux 1-2 Devils
    Dux 2 -5 Charkz
    Notre Dame 27-28 Tulsa
    Arsenal 1-0 West Ham
    Earthquakes 0 - 1 Red Metrostar Balls

    Torpedo 1 - 0 Gubkin

so eight wins, five losses, two ties - it'd be a pretty chitty weekend, but Tarpeda made it more than worthwhile.

Weekend still pending as Colts play tomorrow

Dnipro lost to Shakhtar, automatically can't be great. But my Pacers went 2-0 over the weekend and Kevin Nolan got me 33 pts in fantasy with a hatty :) and had a great Halloween weekend in Chicago, exclusive partying mixed with a little Portillo's and Lou Malnati's...so screw Dnipro! it was great after all!!! :D

I left in '79 - heard the names Porto, Sporting, but Benfica was the shizznet - and for some reason our collector's store had a Benfica pin - of course I could never afford it, but admired it often.

You're a lucky boy Grisha, but watchout for that cat - if extra brooms appear in your closet - I'd put him up for adoption.

Haha, Benfica visits Porto this weekend, by the way. Must win for those Lisbon rats, as they trail us by 7 pts in the standings. :D

Don't knock it. PSV defeated Feyenoord 10-0 a week ago.

The latter result is more shocking for sure.

should we correlate being away to bad weekend (ie drama) and being around here to good weekends (laid back watching soccer)?

That might be a good indicator. Long story short, I went to DC for the Jon Stewart rally, at the rally I lost/had stolen (not sure which but I am leaning towards lost) my wallet. Said wallet had my drivers license, cash $80, and plastic money cards. My flight home left Sunday afternoon, I was staying at a friends apartment, said friend was out of town campaigning, and had no said food in his house except oatmeal. I ate oatmeal for 3 meals and found out that it is possible, if difficult to fly without a picture ID.

Wow brutal. That is rough. Glad you made it home at least. How did you manage to fly?

If you don't have an id they take you into another room and the TSA manager calls somebody and basically does a background check on you. They ask you basic question like where you live, where you lived before that, name a close relative, their birthday. Then they go off the board, like what were your last hunting and fishing licenses, what states, student loans, all sorts of stuff that you would never think of. Then you get the extra screening. Bag scanned twice, pat down, metal pat down, etc. Makes screening go from 10 minutes to 40 minutes at least. I got to do it twice, because my plane changed in Boston and I had to change terminals.

    So did I.

Actually, given all the terrorist threats of the last decade, I'm really surprised they let people board at all.

It helps if you have SOME form of ID, like a credit card, or a checkbook, or something with your name on it. It was actually easier than I thought, although it does support the conspiracy theorist because they have access to just about EVERYTHING on you.

What was the Jon Stewart thing about I was watching Colbert Report a few months ago when they anounced it but i didntt get what it was. Do you live in Canada RC? If you do im surprised they let you in without ID.
