Haha yeah, I always hear those weird noises and gasps he makes when someone takes a great touch. :D

I know some of his behavior has to be manufactured for ratings, but I really do get the sense that he just loves Spanish footy, which is why I like listening to him.

Yea you can tell he's not as excited when he does the Bundesliga games. Last week they showed Atletico in Europa League and it was only his fat ass partner alone, god that was so boring.

The funniest part is their not even at the game, just watching it on an old magnivox tv in some dark room and he gets that excited for the games haha. His passion for La Liga is great.

You know who else he likes, this super unorthodox player on Bilbao, Toquero. You know about him? He usually only adores the super technical players but he absolutely loves this guy lol

--LOL, that guy Schoen is kinda large.

--Yeah, GolTV's camera work used to be bloody awful, I remember the camera peeling out to the crowd at the worst possible moments. Usually Hudson didn't say anything about it, but I was watching a Porto pre-season game on there last year, and we missed a great goal by Hulk, which he was just disgusted by. :D

--Sometimes it's not all bad, though...last week they showed some ridiculously hot Spanish girl in the crowd, which Hudson didn't hesistate to comment on. :D

Hudson used to drive me crazy, but I have learned to tolerate him now. Phil Schoen is probably the best American announcer out there.

I wonder why is his name spelled Schoen and pronounced Shane? you might be right, he pays good attention to detail, and working with Hudson I think he's pretty knowledgeable about the game and the players now.

Thing about Schoen is, unlike say Dellacamera, he is a soccer guy. He watches the most obscure South American matches, while Dellacamera for example did Atlanta Hockey.

English play by play guys are the best. Not just in footy, but for nature shows and documentaries as well.

and there are the Lions setting up on the outside. They have been using a V formation recently, utilizing the long grass and their home field advantage. Here is the kick, the first lion makes his move on the outside, the zebra breaks right, another lion comes in from behind, oh! that was a close one. But the zebra is still going, the lions are tiring. The clock is winding down, do they have enough time. Five, four, three, oh what a move by the outside back lion to cut off that zebra, there it is, the chance, and..... scores!!!!!!! What a take down by the outside full back lion for the win. Amazing, engrossing, that lion has really shown a dedication in training over the past month and you can see it here out on the pitch. The Lions have won another one this weekend, and the standings are edging ever closer. Lions 54 points, Hyenas 60.

Knopfler was born in Glasgow, Scotland, to an English mother and a Hungarian Jewish father, an architect whose anti-communist sympathies forced him to flee the regime of his native Hungary

Sweet, Craven Cottage seems like a real intimate atmosphere. How much did tickets cost, by the way?

Sadly as I found out, MLS ticket prices are comparable to the top Euro leagues.

    Ugh, you're kidding me?

I don't really care about MLS anyway, but was perhaps thinking about going to a SJ Quakes game next year to see the Red Bulls..I'll have to scratch those plans. :(

I can't speak for everywhere, but I used to get decent seats, second deck, in Berlin for 15 euros.

I went with a season ticket holder for free, but I was looking at tickets for Man City in a few weeks, which will be like 30-40 pounds like $50-$70
