Well, he finally arrived and met at Schiphol tecbical director Rob Baan an his new Dutch fanclub. He has all the necessary papers and possibly could be a substitute in the match against Excelsior on the 10th (local time).
I just hope that he doesn't embarrass himself. I know a lot of you would object but IMHO, Song is overrated. He's defensive skill is good but not better than Hong MB. He runs fast, has above-average passing and shooting skills using both feet, and can play multiple positions. But that's about it! He lacks offensive abilities and flair compared to say, Ono. I hope he proves me wrong.
if he is overrated then who isnt? last 30+ international matches, he never had any bad game(including regular league matches), and he played all games full.
I expect him to play behind Emerton on the right flank, on the wingback position Emerton used to play. Since Emerton and Song seem to have similar qualities (good skills, fast, lungs with unlimited capacities...) he should do well on that position. When Emerton and Song keep on running down the flank, I think the wingback of the oposition will have problems keeping up with them...
