http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/armchair-analyst-ángel-angst I've stated elsewhere I think he would be a good fit. JPA and Buddle up top would be a dream come true. His movement off the ball is so good and yet dependent on service. Beckham and/or Donovan can provide it in spades, not to mention guys like Franklin, Stephens and Juninho. I don't think he moves the needle like Ronaldinho, but I'd rather win championships and this guy has single-handedly made that re-branded NY team a contender the last few years.
gladly. the guy is pure class and he scores consistently for NYRB, no matter how bad they've been. i realize that he's a riskier proposition now as he's older, a bit slower. but i'd gladly take that risk.
I don't think anyone has anything bad to say about Angel ever. He's exactly the sort of player we want in this league (and on this team). He's getting up there, but he has at least one year left of solid production. He may be willing to take a paycut too. Probably not sub-DP level, though. Even if he doesn't come to LA, I really hope he stays in the league.
Allen Hopkins tells ET Radio that Sounders, Galaxy, Rapids and D.C. United sought a midseason trade for Juan Pablo Angel.
I like him a lot, but if this team can still land Ronaldinho they aren't going to make Angel a DP if he comes over to LA. Not unless Dinho's deal falls through a second time. But if either dude showed up I would be one of the first to do the dance of joy.
I felt he did well in the ELP at Aston Villa. He has experience and talent. I'd like to see him cross over
OMG!! Just thinking about it! Juan Pablo Angel ------ Buddle Ronaldinho ------ Beckham ------ Juninho ------ Donovan Dunivant ------ Gonzo ------ BeerHolder ------- Franklin ------ Ricketts ------
Galaxy, Sounders among those who courted Ángel http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/galaxy-sounders-among-those-who-courted-ángel
