Why were you sporting a black eye in the match against Juventus?

It seems like I always have a black eye! I think we played United before the Juventus game and when I went to head the ball my eye hit Vidic’s head - that gave me a black eye.

Brillant goal by Dempsey. Both have looked great so far, of course this is West Ham.

i think dempsey is like a wasp. If you heave him alone he MIGHT sting you, but if you get into him, like WH is doing, you are going to get stung.

He is having one of those matches. He is by far the best player on the pitch right now.

    EJ & Dempsey.

I'm on vacation and trying to explain to people why I'm 'woohooing' at my silent laptop screen and frantically pressing F5. Go Fulhamerica!

EJ has been poor thus far. His greatest contribution is just being on the pitch because it's allowed Clint to play more withdrawn. But aside from that, he's looked poor.

On the other hand, Clint has played well.

You said he looked great. Can you point to something he's done this half to earn that kind of praise? I'd seriously like to know, as I've watched the half, and haven't seen it.

Clint Dempsey is one tough soccer player. And is having a great game.

    Eddie Johnson, not so much.

Yeah, I think we've established that you hate Eddie Johnson's play. We get it.

But hey, you get to pat yourself on the back for your Searing Honesty™ and your Refusal To View Life Through U.S. Colored Glasses™, and we all know that's the most important part. So long as you feel good, all is well.

Eddie was OK. Not good, not bad. Hope for more time in the second half and a goal!
