Since our season is over anyway, why not try Ristic in at d-mid? He can't be worse than Thorrington at it and it's not as if Pause is an all-star. If Ristic does well there, we can trade Thor and/or Pause, although if we got rid of Pause we'd have no back-up unless we go get one from somewhere.

Nowak used to make sure the team respected the fans. When they didn't, the old Polish Ultras would spend the next home game with their backs to the field. I like the old ways better.

Pause was being Pause...he is not a CDM...he is a defender. I counted 3 good plays by Pause because it was easier than counting the bad plays and backwards play...that makes him about 10% to the good. So many times he needed to get forward and help support the attack...but like I said, he is Pause...

Thor gets a yellow...we could have written that before the game, but that wouldn't prove any psychic abilities.

I would be surprised if CDLC left before he tapped the dirt down on this season. Like I've been saying for years, the teams in MLS are fairly equal, so the coaching can be the difference between 1st and last...this is what we've seen this year. When you defend and rarely attack, it gets more and more difficult to change the way you play even when it's do or die...and the affect it can have on a club is negative from top to bottom...and even worse for the casual fan's interest.

CDLC needs to be shown the door as an act of good faith to the players and supporters.

The best part was when Pause almost crapped his pant under pressure and got pissed with Pappa for not helping him out..Epic!

If De Los Cobos isn't gone after the second half of the season, please let Andy know that I'd be willing to take the millions off his hands that he's willing to splash out on player salaries only to put the players in the hands of a coach with no idea on what to do with said players.

At least with Hammy and Sarachan we had some idea of the tactics being deployed (start 9 DM's, defend like hell and hope for a goal)! DLC is a step up in terms of sensible subbing (last nights Uzmanzor sub not included), but what exactly is his team trying to accomplish on the pitch?

Note to prior posters: I've been calling for Logan's head for years. King of the negative and square balls. The increasing speed of MLS passed him by years ago.

I disagree with everything except for the stupid yellows. Other than that I thought he was fine.

The game was almost over and we needed a win. I'd expect Umanzor to be pushing up. But as the ball came back toward the Fire, Umanzor was behind it. He tracked the guy with the ball toward the middle of the box, Brown told him to stay with that guy, and Brown droped to the RB stop to mark Nkufo. It seemed like they were organized enough. It wasn't like a Conde situation where he runs up on someone, gets beat, and then we are totally screwed in our defensive formation.

I could have sworn that he wasn't yelling at any midfielders and when we went to kick off I thought Brown had walked upfield all the way past Pause to yell and scream toward the center circle where I thought I saw McBride yelling or gesturing back.

Near the end we were playing with 3 defenders. Umanzor moved to RB and Ristic moved up.

  13. We can subtract the entire team from this total, as it was clear they did not show up.

It's been a looong time since I've seen so many fire fans this unified in their feelings and opinions.

I envy you that you watched a different game than the rest of us. I hope the score of your game was different from the one the rest of us saw last night. I do have last night's game on DVD, though, and can send it to you if you think you can stomach watching Thor give the ball away all game long, Freddy dribble through their midfield to no purpose, Carr and Pappa and Nyarko run around a lot and not do much and CJ and Umanzor give away the goal to snatch defeat from the jaws of a tie.

My favorite Thor moment of last night was when he tried to shield the ball and the Seattle player just kick it out from between his legs for the turnover. It was like a reverse meg. Embarrassing.

It was brilliant. But at first, being an old-time pinball player, I didn't get the connection between Mario (a Nintendo franchise game) and X-box (the Nintendo competitor). Fortunately my boys explained it to me.

Crazy night. First, the Fire ticket office couldn't find my tickets at Will Call. They even asked the person I ordered the tickets through (talked to her on the phone and sent her an e-mail) and she didn't recall even talking to me, even though it was for a group outing.

I should've turned around and gone home at that point, but I'd already invested $15 in the evening and didn't want to disappoint the boys so I bought tickets.

Agree with Chris, I don't even care at this point.

You know things are really bad for Fire fans when

    1. You can get us all to actually agree on something

    2. when the best part of the game was a Tifo display

    this is seriously F..cked UP!!!

I might go into exile as a Fire fan if this crap continues--I did this as a Bears fan til they got rid of Waandstedt (sp?), so this is really bad.

I felt like I was watching a youth game in the sense they seemed to be waiting for the perfect shot. We had ample opportunities to take a shot on goal, yet we either took one too many dribbles, or we passed it instead of putting it on net. Do they really need to be center of the box facing the goalie before they take a shot? These are supposed to be professional players that actually have a foot. That was the most frustrating part for me. Well that and a lot more, starting with all the freakin back passing.

I actually went into this game thinking we would lose 2-0. I gave up on this team long ago.

I'm curious of what you think of LeToux having 12 Goals and 10 Assists and your team is nowhere closer to 1st than ours?

I suppose this is your way of telling me to shove it, but I will answer anyway.

I think LeToux's success is great to see. LeToux was a hard worker but struggled to fit into our system. He is now someplace that is a better fit. LeToux remains hugely popular among SFC fans (due to his work rate and time with the USL Sounders), and he received a warm welcome when he returned earlier this year. We wish him well on the days he is not playing against us.

Back to Ljungberg, who is someone I like btw. Does he fit into your system? I cannot tell.

Active, Creative, fast paced and angry all the damn time but other than that he does set up a lot of plays for others we just have NOBODY to finish those situations.
