Because we are pulling a White Sox/DC United type of style of play lately.

Have you watched us play? Its awful.

ESPN probably realized another 0-0 draw and said screw it, competitive hot dog eating gets double the ratings anyways.

Actually it's World Series of Poker, which will definitely get better ratings.

What's odd is that it doesn't start at 10:00pm CST, it starts at 9:30.

Hot dog eating is funnier though lol.

World Series of Poker is actually damn cool to watch but obviously the Fire's play has to play a part in ESPN's decision.. Honestly they are almost a no goal guarantee.

the final insult to DLC's "attractive" 4-1-4-1?

The "attractive" 4-1-4-1 actually looks more like a 6-0-3-1 when opposite team pressures the backline which leads to all kinds of possession for the other team in our final third and cuts off any opportunity to counter quickly without a long ball into space for Nyarko to run onto.

I don't think DLC has figured out how to adjust to the constant pressure the team gets. The Fire looked great in preseason and the first couple of games when the opposition didn't press our back line. The rest of the league has adjusted to the Fire and DLC hasn't had answer for it yet.

I don't blame ESPN at all for this. Nobody wants to see this team play.

When was the last time that ESPN dropped a game, I can't think of one time.

Did they drop the game, because they added the New York/Los Angeles game or was that game always going to be aired on ESPN2.

I just hope that I get either of these channels on dishnetwork (CSN+ or CLTV).

In '07, they dropped a New England/Colorado game (and didn't tell New England or Colorado until the last minute) to show LA at Toronto when they thought that would be Beckham's MLS debut.

New York/Los Angeles game was always scheduled for airing on ESPN on that date.

Because they're trying to piss you off, obviously.

I won't be the only one that's going to be pissed. They dropped the game and there airing World Series of Poker, which is a rerun from Saturday night (nice!!!).

After watching the Fire all season, I can't say I'd blame ESPN if they chose to rebroadcast a random high school pointyball game from 1992 instead.

Maybe if the Fire would score an actual goal once in awhile, people would want to see them!

Given the current level of suckitude, ESPN has made the correct call.

  20. This might be the first time I've ever seen most everyone agree with you. How have we not seen you around this season until now???

Well if that's the case, CSN, MY50 Telefutra and FSC should all cancel the rest of the games.

That's BULLSHIT that ESPN dropped the game, there have been a ton of games that they aired that should of been aired.

I guess I'm fortunate, CSN+ on my cable is still showing religious programming, not the Earthquakes win...
