Honestly, we didn't deserve to win this match but that was the best defending I've seen from an Arsenal side in years... I'm happy
The time was fine. Can't you people ever blame the people who SHOULD be blamed. I put the whole game on Rosicky. You CAN'T miss from the spot. EDIT: this of course is only to those complaining about the time. Lot of posts added in between the ones I read about it and this one.
We totally deserved the result... Arshavin and Clichy played like **** today, and the other weren't much better. Only players I was satisfied with were Fabregas and our two center-backs.
Threw my iphone on the floor already...hope its still working... fkng unbelievable... just 1 last second....i can eat someone alive now.....
Paid the price for Rosicky's miss from the spot but generally poor game in the midfield and going forward throughout. After such a gutsy performance from the defense, it's disappointing to see them let down by the rest of the team and then to finally concede in phantom time.
The blame in my opinion goes on a few things. Wenger - should have started with a more rested squad. Rosicky - should have converted from the spot. If not, at least go for accuracy and not power. Song - shouldn't have gotten so many fouls. When he got the first yellow, should have slowed down on the fouls, but he kept on fouling leaving the ref with no choice but to send him off.
So I ask the question that will be asked this week? Has Arsenal REALLY matured? Are we starting to see the Arsenal mannerism creep back?
It hurts but we deserved a draw. On a brighter note I thought kos/squi looked excellent. This was soo typical though. I know everyone else is just loving this.
Well, if I'd ever seen that enforced with some consistency I'd believe it. I see refs stop the game short of the stated stoppage time all the time. Hey, you play to the whistle but the fact the ref allowed play to continue after Sunderland's attack was clearly broken up is what surprised me.
I bust my a$$ to MAKE the time to be sure & watch an entire match live, miss my girl's soccer game and sit at home... ...to watch THAT bull5hit?!?!?! ******** my life, this just sucks. AND Georgia is losing in the 4th quarter. The only way I could hate this day worse is if the Tottenham beat the Colorado Rockies in the 7th game of the World Series by one with :03 left in the 4th quarter. ******** all this, I'm going to the shooting range now.
Such a nebulous quality, this "maturity" football teams have. I guess Wenger figured they'd beat the crap out of Vela, his speed might have helped though.
Why Nasri wasnt on that penalty ill never know....so down beat after the gutsy performance up until the 95th min
look, no matter who you are and who youre playing against it always sucks to lose 3-points right at the death like that. when the 94th minute rolled around I was up on my feet with my hands in the air, so it was a good kick to the gut, dont get me wrong, but some perspective is needed here. in the end we were outplayed barring the last 15-20 minutes which is not good enough, even on the road, we were a man-down and this is a place where we lost last year so it's not the WORST possible result we could have gotten. We have matured, we are better.
I thought both were excellent today. For what he had to do, Almunia was solid as well -- couple decent punches, no particularly questionable decisions, stood up well to their dozen+ corners. It was the rest of the pitch that let us down today. We let them stay in it forever by not playing well, and let down at the very end.
if song gets red for what he done i still cant see the justification on the tackle against wilshere. no yellow, no red, simply a warning.
