Fantastic defense for 94 minutes when we did nothing else right all day, and then that. Honestly, you could argue we don't even deserve a point off that performance, but that's harsh to give up the win like that.
Went in 13 seconds after the allotted time and you usually get a few seconds added when there is a corner at the end.
Well, that was all that Sunderland deserved but I can't believe the ref added that much more time. Once the ball was cleared out at 4:00 of stoppage time I fully expected the full-time whistle. Instead, Sunderland got one more chance to reload and Clichy kicked the clearance into a teammate.
As they pointed out on the broadcast, the posted stoppage time is a minimum, and it's up to the center ref anyway. Dowd didn't have a great game, but we can't blame this result on him.
Cmon, seriously? The ref did not make us lose this match. We did that all on our own. From Arsene picking a tired team, Song being careless, Rosicky missing a penalty and the defense switching off at the 95 min, waiting from a decision from the ref. Play until you hear the effing whistle!!
