exactly. I hate seeing a play like that with a chance for a one on one, and instead the fire player passes it back.

I always forget Bone is on the team. We seem to have zero imagination or ideas in the midfield so why not give him a shot one game? Since our playoff aspirations seem to be all dried up we might as well play him and get him some experience.

So in the past 5 minutes Fred dove in the box, and laid down twice with fake injuries. Disgraceful.

I agree. Should they squeak into the playoffs, they will get raped any of the other 7 teams.

This team sucks, the coach REALLY sucks, and these DP's aren't very good. Season's not over yet, but man it feels like it is.

I just want to comment on Mapp.

He showed more hustle and effort in this ONE game for Philly than he did for us the last FOUR seasons combined. Thanks Justin. I spit in your general direction.

I'd like to give DLC another year, so I'm not writing him off yet. A lot of the mistakes made during the game are mistakes that fall on the players, not on the coach. I don't the think the DP's are too bad either, but the supporting cast definitely has to improve. You know something is wrong when you are relying on Calen Carr to change the game around.

On a positive note, we won't have to worry about any GOTW voting irregularities.

Another pathetic offensive performance. The announcers made a mention that this was philly's first shutout. Hey against the Fire that's no great feat.

At this rate the only team we will be ahead of is going to be DC United, we are 0-3-2 in our last games.

    Code:

    Justin Mapps stats:

    Code:
    FIRE 552 (minutes) 0 (Goals) 1 (Assist)
    Philadelphia 487 (Minutes) 1 (Goal) 2 (Assists)
Not huge numbers for Mapp, but hell alot better than what he did here. So either he didn't want to play here anymore or it was our coaches.

That was painful to watch. It was bad enough the ref did nothing about Philly flopping the in the box and their keeper handling the ball outside of the box, but we made Mapp look good and that is what sickens me.

How bad does everyone else of the roster have to be for Umanzor to start at LB? I would have rather seen Banner back there. Did Krol sleep with CldC's sister or something? What's wrong with Watson-Siriboe? If we're that desperate why not put Pause on the back line? I'd rather see him there than giving the ball away in the midfield.

Has Conde been watching reruns of England in '66? What is with the fcuking long ball out of the back all the time?

Freddie had a couple of legitimate complaints tonight, but I'm tired of watching him work the ref. It's getting old real fast Freddie.

We played like sh!t and deserved the loss. I might feel different in the morning, but I doubt it.

I am seriously starting to think this entire team needs to be blown up and rebuilt. Keep Johnson, maybe Nyarko, Pappa, Kinney, Segares and maybe Bone, who has always looked good to me but never plays, and get the hell rid of everyone else. This includes Conde, who made yet another boneheaded pass right to an opposing player standing a few yards outside the Fire penalty box. Maybe another coach could get more out of John, and I suppose Castillo still isn't really ready (why, I don't know), but I think the concept of signing talented head cases has been a resounding failure. I hope Castillo is better next year, if there is a next year, but this may just be a case of a particular player not thriving in a particular league. Maybe he'd do better in Mexico. I'd basically clear out as much cap space as I could and start fresh next spring. Honestly, it couldn't get much worse, and I just don't see this group of players turning into winners, ever.

I'm certainly not complaining about ownership, who have been willing to pay for talent. I am starting to question not just DLC, but also Klopas, whose team this really is. Honestly, what the ******** is this?

This is the first time a Chicago first division soccer team has been shut out in Philly since 1980 when the Philadelphia Fury beat the Sting 1-0.

I know lots of people like to come on here and talk as if the sky is falling after losses and most of the time it's just BS.

But that was the worst Fire game I've ever seen. Maybe the worst pro soccer game too.

In the first half... the number of ..... just TERRIBLE plays, or passing the ball directly to the other team. Horrible.

There were so many that normally would have been stand out terrible plays I can't even remember them. Dasan gifted them the goal by heading the ball into Mapps chest who was 5 yards away. Castillo took a clearance pass from conde and kicked it right back to a Philly player who put a shot on goal. Umanzor, thank you for making all the people who wanted you in for Banner last week look like total idiots. There was one play where he passed it directly to the opponent 4 yards in front of him, and then got beat/tricked/turned like 4 times in 15 seconds ending with him getting lost and not realizing one of the guys who was spinning him around was behind him receiving a pass and putting in a cross.

Castillo isn't going to do anything this year. I hope he works during the offseason and remembers how to play because he's not good enough to start with Nyarko and Pappa available as wing players if we ARE going to keep playing him on the wing instead of up top.

The sheer number of terrible plays tonight was amazing.

I'm so sick of watching Ljunberg dribble somewhere, drawing 2-3 players leaving 2 acres of space directly in front of Pause only to see him drop back in case Ljunberg wants to hit the cutoff man on the way to the keeper.

After Carr had been on the field for 8 minutes playing LM we had a break up the right and I think Kinney maybe put in a cross that went rolling/bouncing across the middle of the box: Carr was pulling a Justin Mapp, walking up the field 30 yards behind the play.

    I don't ********ing get it:
Take our 5-5-5 team from the first half and.....
    Add Ljunberg
    Add Castillo
    Add Segares
Sean Johnson turns out to be the next USMNT keeper
    John gets healthy
    Nyarko returns from concussions
    Thorrington returns
    Carr returns
    AND WE SUCK NOW?!?!
