Seriously? You want a pk for a clearance ball that hit his arm while it was at his side?

Don't PKs for handball require intent? Pretty sure blocking a clearance is really, really bad regardless of if it hits your hand. Doubt he meant to do that.

In MLS they call that a handball 9/10 times. It happend to Marvell Wynne twice in 2 weeks, no intent, just bad positioning of arms, like tonight.

That sucks. That's just bad reffing though, per Fifa's Law of the Game #12.

    On a clearance?

Oh and Brown got kicked in the head on a fairly reckless play - should that have been a yellow?

A direct free kick is also awarded to the opposing team if a player
commits any of the following three offences:
    • holds an opponent
    • spits at an opponent
    • handles the ball deliberately (except for the goalkeeper within his
    own penalty area)

Granted, I'm surely biased, but neither of those looked deliberate. Have I seen them called? Sure, but I don't think those were PKs.

I'm very encouraged by our offense tonight. Haven't scored yet but we are looking dangerous. It's the 1st time Nyarko, John, Castillo, and Ljungberg have all been on the field at once I believe. Castillo is showing flashes of his '07 self. Something we haven't seen before today.

If we don't make the playoffs this year I won't mind too much. Because next year is going to AWESOME.

    It's not a 3-4-3...

    it's a 4-1-4-1.
