Your thoughts on the battle for promotion to the 1.BL? For a while, it looked like a dozen teams had legitimate promotion hopes. The field has narrowed somewhat, but there are still a lot of teams with a chance. Some questions: Is RWO for real (Burghausen would probably say no)? Are Nuremberg and Cottbus going to make quick returns to the BL? Does Aachen have what it takes? Is this finally going to be Mainz's year? Can Bielefeld right its ship? Can Unterhaching make it successive promotions? Personally, I think it's going to be FCN, Cottbus and Aachen.

My favourites are Mainz, Aachen and Nürnberg. At least these are the clubs I´d like to see in BL1 next year....

I hope that RWO won´t make it cause i don´t even have a stadium that fits into the standard of BL1!!

There are still eleven teams in the race. FCN, Cottbus and Mainz is what I say.

    So right buddy.

Aachen have amazing fans and will build a new stadium. Mainz have already extended their stadium and surprisingly have passionate fans nowadays. 1.FC Nürnberg have lots of tradition (9 times German champion), fans and a nice stadium (WC2006 hosts).

I could also live with one of these teams:
Bielefeld, Karlruhe (time to get that Karlsruhe2000-thing started *g*) and even Duisburg (building new stadium).

And I agree....please God don't let RW Oberhausen promote!

(edit: Ooops, thought this was a "who I like"-thread". I guess it will be RWO, 1.FCN and Mainz but a pretty tough predictions as the race is still "to close to call [tm] :)

Mainz, Lübeck and Bielefeld sounds good to me, especially when Braunschwig doesn't want it ;-)
Nürnberg and Aachen would be good too: lots of fanatic fans!

Well, i guess i should feel flattered that there is so much importance attached to my opinion. Although most people here probably don't know what this Bielefeld-thing is exactly. ;)

Well, exactly these three are my picks, too.
Even though I`m not quite sure whether Aachen is playing constant enough. Cup semi-final could either cost them some concentration in league matches or even add some extra energy when they're successful.
But all these teams would add a good mixture of tradition and passionate supporters to 1. Bundesliga. Feom that point of view, i could also live with Mainz and/or Bielefeld.
