    Discuss the upcoming qualifiers here.

Damien Duff is out of the Armenia match in Yerevan. Huge blow... I have a horrible feeling we could struggle badly down there.

The squad flew out to Armenia today. Robbie managed to train in Dublin, but Richard Dunne was again on the sidelines.

looking forward to this one, I may go down to the local irish pub to watch it but i can never figure out all these time differences, wikipedia seems to indicate that its at 7 AM out here in california, but upon futher investigation it looks more like 1 pm. In any case:

*lifts glass* Here's to the beginning of a successful qualifying campaign. after being snubbed out of the world cup, Ireland deserves no less than making it to the Euros!

Great to see a player who was playing LOI 2 years ago score the winner. Doyle (another ex LOI player) was absolutely immense.

Revenge for November's beating in same stadium. Goal scored at same end as consolation last time!

God, we worked hard for that. My nerves are shot. Excellent result to start the campaign, though.

i thought mcgeady looked good. st. ledger had a stinker and keano won't miss that many goal opportunites again for the rest of his career. 3 points is all that was needed.

My nerves were shot beforehand, so I'd have even settled for the 0-0.

As usual no end product from McGeady. How many times have we seen him beat his man and shoot wide or cross without looking? Yet to score for Ireland says it all. Smart move by Trap replacing him with Fahey.

no arguments here from me. 1 v 1 aiden is very good but too often it's for naught

so what are people's thoughts for the upcoming match v andorra in dublin? i'm going to say 2-0 to the boys in green. andorra may be a 'weak' team, but if we don't pick up the pace after friday's performance then it will be close. keano and green to score.

and speaking of that game last friday...i was impressed with some of the 1v1 stuff from aiden as well. i also thought that doyle had a decent game. keano needs to take advantages of chances more, he was poor in front of the net. he should try and get past people himself and score, not just expect perfect passes into him for the whole 90+min

Hello..I am a supporter of AEL Limassol FC (Cyprus)
AEL Limassol is one of the biggest clubs in Cyprus (we are in the 3rd place with fans behind APOEL and Omonia).
We have more fans than Anorthosis who they played before 2 years in Champions League. Anyway
The reason I am writing to you is because I saw that the referee will be Trattos.
My team has got to get champion from 1968 and cup from 1989 because we not support any politics. The soccer in Cyprus is from politics.
For example the biggest team in Cyprus with more fans (Omonoia) is attend at the left side of politics and because the goverment is with them helps them too much.
APOEL and Anorthosis belong to the other big politic part and they try with all the ways to get champion APOEL or Anorthosis.
If you ask a fan of that teams what politic part supports he will tell you the politic part that him team support
Now I explain what is happening and I will explain you and the reason I am writing here.
As i told before my team does not belong to any politic part and if you ask our fans what politic support they will tell you soccer does not have to do with politics or if they will tell you what they support you will find and from the two political sides.
For this reason they don't want us to get champion or a cup because they scared that if we get a title after that years our team will awake up and they will have problems.
Before 2 years and exacly in season 2008-2009 we go to the final cup. They put Trattos referee and he make big mistakes (I will show you after to see in youtube).
They didn't stop him from referee and him gift was to go to european matches. The only thing they told it was that his wrongs at the cup was ''human''. The team that helped to get the cup was APOP Kiniras Pegias. If you type in the google you can see that this team went to Lozani at CAS because of some antidomping that they found at their players.CAS is that organism which gets the champion of Juventus and they send him 2nd devision.
Anyway. They lost the domping results and CAS wasn't have any proove to send them at 2nd devision. The lawer who helped the club to not have any effects from CAS was the old president of the club. Now this guy he is a member of KOP (organism of Cyprus Soccer). Why KOP send a lawer that support this club and he is a member of KOP ??
Anyway I just telling you the historical of that guy who gonna to referee your team. He is one of the wrost referees of the island and because he is helps some teams under political controls. If he make any wronts at Ireland or at Andorra will not be human wrongs but will be wrongs because he is not a good referee and he is just there because he is doing what the politicals tell him
    See now the youtube video
This video is the final cup (my team is the yellow one)

This video is that video which make human wrongs at Omonia (all we know that this guy he is under control under the other political side that Omonia support)

Yeah, the political battles between Ireland and Andorra are the stuff of legend. They defy definition and the whole world can only sit on the sidelines hoping that there'll be a livable solution. It's gone on for too long and everyone knows this. Oh, the children also!

No, I'm very worried about the political problems between Andorra and Ireland. Everyone knows they're really bad and could explode at any moment. And if that happens, then who knows? I know I wouldn't want to be near the Andorran border........

so that referee will be very dangerous...because if he make any mistake you understand what it's going to be there because of the political problems of Andorra and iceland...

And here was me hoping that the problems Ireland and Andorra had with Iceland were a thing of the past. But just when things seem to be too quiet, up they come and bite you again.

Now we all know the Andorran problems are a complete disgrace and should have been settled a long time ago, with enough blame on both sides, but the Iceland imbroglio is a complete travesty and should never have happened.

Andorra and Iceland. Sworn enemies of something or other.

Personally, I'm against this sort of thing. It's not much, I know, but it's the least I can do.

Um, maybe we can get back to the football....match is tonight and we look to be 'full strength' so a win is not only necessary but expected.

Same result as last time. Could and should have scored more but.......

McGeady disappointing yet again and I dont understand the fuss over Gibson. Doyle and Lawrence magnificent as they were friday.

Slovakia winning in Moscow opens the group up and means if we beat the Russians next month they are almost gone.

Still these minnows are hard to break down. Witness Scotland scoring their winner against Liechtenstein in the 97th minute!
