Pepe is seriously poor, how this guy is a starter is beyond me. Id rather stick Foggia out there right now.

Also Molinaro is bag a shite as well, worse player to plat the position in the history of Azzurri.

Great hustle and backtracking by Molinaro there to save this game from being 2-0...

I don't think Rossi is on the bench for this match. An earlier report had the following:

Italy bench: Viviano, De Silvestri, Gilardino, Antonelli, Bovo, Palombo, Quagliarella

Unfortunately I'm afraid we'll see something like Gila for Pazzini and Quags for Cassano... around 60 minutes.

Rossi for Pepe and leave it at that for now.
I dont understand Pepe's place on the team, hes not good at anything really aside from the fact that he can run.

I bet this team is really, really good at holding leads.

Unfortunately, they haven't had one in 10 months.

I can definitely see Prandelli bringing in GIla, but I don't see it making any difference whatsoever. Until we can start generating something from the midfield, especially off of the wings, then who we have playing striker will hardly matter.

Personally though, I wouldn't mind seeing Quags mainly because the guy knows how to score big goals in clutch situations. Considering the fact that Estonia will now likely be completely stuffing the penalty area, we can use someone like Quags for his long range strikes as well.

Pepe has all the characteristics of a champion...except skill. He is usually in a decent position going forward making runs, but unfortunately cannot cross to save his life. Molinaro is actually playing decen,t but you can just tell he would get destroyed by a good team.

He's basically Iaquinta version 2.0, except with better crossing ability. He really doesn't contribute what we need from a winger. I'd much rather have guys like MArchionni, Foggia, or even Maggio out there right now instead of him!

Quags is fine so long as Pepe comes off.

So Pirlo can be great unless he scores or creates a goal, but not Cassano?

Right. Might want to check on your bias there buddy. And also observe Pirlo squandering every single dead ball opportunity.

If we take out Cassano and Pazzini before we have a goal we're as good as done.

The friendly vs Ivory Coast, you could just feel we were not gonna score when Balotelli and Cassano came out.

Rossi or Quagmire for Pepe, please. There is nothing Pepe can offer, since it's not like we're being overrun (crap at the back, sure, but nothing that a little extra running from a headless chicken at right wing forward will help).

Pirlo's delivery has been poor for a while now.

At this point, either Santon or Criscito would make much better options than Molinaro. They probably aren't as good at moving the ball up the pitch, but they're definitely more reliable defensively.

As for Pepe, I have a feeling that the only reason he's still there is because he has great pace on a squad that looks slow as SHIT!

he needs to be paired up with Iaquinta to be effective, much like Pazzini and Cassano but only much better!

We're likely done even WITH Cassano and Pazzini out there. There's little movement coming from our mid, and we aren't generating much off the flanks.

Even Marco Motta would be much more useful than Pepe on the right atm.

Pazzini has been very effective in getting shots on goal and disrupting the backline of Estonia, and Cassano is always liable to create something out of nothing. I think we've looked fine going forward, minus the finish... im very concerned about our defense though.

Con o senza pepe, this is ridiculous. This is friggin Estonia and we can't pierce their walls? We have enough firepower out there: Pirlo, Monto, Cassano, Pazzo, etc. These boys better wake up.
