Two pretty good chances in the last two matches for him ... just got to stay healthy.

If anyone is due a purple patch of good health, it is him.

Spector is not a premier league back, he should have been standing there to head the ball, the ball should have never gotten to berbatov

I hope we sign a right back before the next game, and that Hiltz is fit soon.

This Man U team will never amount to anything with shameful tactics like this! Ours is the moral Victory!

Another men against boys exhibition; I'm really disappointed in Grant's team selection.
How he could play Spector is beyond me. Faubert (or maybe Reid) should have been at right back, and Barrera right midfield, with Piquionne/McCarthy/Sears or any supposed striker instead of Boa Morte, supporting Cole. Apparently Behrami is being held back for transfer protection? He's not mentioned as being injured.
Playing Cole as a lone striker against Man.Utd was stupid to say the least. Especially since he's not been playing well up to now anyway.
So in 2 weeks we have to play Chelsea; we have zero points, and minus 8 goals. We must be the strongest team in the league, since we're holding up everyone else!
After Chelsea, it's Stoke, Spurs and Fulham. This is all looming as a disaster. What's the record for consecutive league games without a win??????? But maybe Hitzlsperger can bring something to the team. Somebody has to.

Tactics were all wrong today you don't play one up front against Man Utd. We are not Chelsea and Cole is no Drogba. Spector was shocking AGAIN the lad should really be shown the door asap!

I came on here to post my comments about how bad Spector was, but I see a few of you have beaten me to it. I like him but this season and last season he just hasn't been up to scratch.

It started when Zola kept playing him as a LB. He made one mistake after another and they always seemed to cost us goals. Now he is back at RB and he's at it again. He made a foolish error of judgement trying to tackle from behind in the box against a player who has just skinned him. Even though he did try and pull out of the tackle.

I also think his lack of man marking contributed to the third goal. He left Berbatov alone with a free volley and decided instead to stumble before desperately throwing himself in front of the shot. This isn't effective defending and smacks of desperation. We don't need desperate defenders this season, we need competent defenders.

It's about time Spector went, we stopped playing Faubert at RW, bought another quality RB and let him and Faubert compete for that slot. Ilunga and/or Daprela should compete with a decent LB for that slot. Also Grant needs to find a lineup that works all across the back.

We still look disorganised and lacking in fitness and confidence in all positions.
