http://www.goal.com/en/news/10/ital...s-juventus-confirm-amauri-to-miss-a-month-of? Bad luck or good luck?
Amauri being out is almost a blessing in disguise for the Nazionale. This pretty much means that it's virtually impossible for PRandelli to snub Pazzini. With Amauri, and possibly even Balotelli missing these 2 qualifiers, I expect Pazz and Gila to be the CF's that get the call, with Cassano, Rossi, and Quags rounding out our attack.
I'm not yet 100% sold on Pazzini, but with that said, he was outstanding against Werder. I don't see how he wouldn't be the starter now.
This is just stupid. So you're saying that for purposes of the national side you want to see Juventus fail, considering that many Juve players figure on the national side? I understand that you would not support Juventus in the league; but to wish that the players don't succeed is just idiotic if you truly support the national team.
It's funny watching both sides of the argument as there are many non-Italian Juventus fans who didn't support the Quagliarella deal... thought Juve just got him because he plays for Gli Azzurri. Then you have the anti-Juventus fans here who want to see the NT players fail at club level so they don't make the NT. IMO, both sides of this argument are flat out dumb. Juventus is ALWAYS going to be a club where many Azzurri players call it home.
Of course I want Juve to fail, regardless of how many players they give to the NT...I don't even have to support them in Europe anymore, as the CL spot is lost...this being said, in that post I simply stated that I'd like Amauri to once again play like shit for his club so that we don't see him in azzurro ever again. I then criticized Juve's new para-fascist course but said nothing about their future performance. I'll give a translation of that post, which referred to Amauri getting injured: Incredible stroke of luck...let's then hope he has a shit season in autarchic Juvinese, project of glowing squalor and cultural misery (the tricolor on their jerseys, despite not winning shit...******** off) and Amauri in azzurro will only be a transitional mid-summer nightmare.
Quags was purchased because they needed a second striker, end of story. This is starting to get silly.
Or some of us didn't want him because he's a mediocre waste-of-space who comes into the team at the expense of a more talented player, regardless of what pathetic NT he plays for. Won't wish injury upon him because he's officially signed for Juventus, but he's the one player I wouldn't care about if he is called-up to play in pointless friendly matches against Estonia. Hopefully this will be his first and only season at the club, financial losses be damned.
ADP is still Juve's best player and with the disaster we have as far as injuries and the great transfer market we've had he may have to be a starter for the forseeable future if we want to stay anywhere near Europa status, forget the CL.
So the big 3 that wre advertised, Cassano, Amauri and Balotelli are all down and out for these coming qualifiers. Amauri ok you replace him with Pazzini which I like a lot but we ain't replacing Cassano or Balo. This will be messy!
There hasn't been any confirmation that Cassano will miss either of these matches, meanwhile I think Pazz or Gila will do just fine in filling in for Balo.
Not to beat a dead horse, but here's the truth about La Nazionale, from someone in the know--Andrea Pirlo: http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=819797&sec=euro2012&cc=5901 Prandelli may do well with the Azzurri, but until class players start coming through, don't expect too much.
yup, Andrea is not saying anything we don't already know. The problem is changing the whole system to accomidate and nurture young italian players to grow into superstars. Until that happens we will have a mediocre Azzurri at best.
Yea, I'd say so. He was primarily to be the super-sub for Diego. But, we shrewdly sold him for Quagliarella. So he'll be Quag's sub.
