Sucks, I went back to Nike.com to order one for my younger brother and it wasn't on there anymore. I guess he'll have to make do with the Jabulani Replique Ball that I got for free with my Soccer.com order.
Gah, yeah, looks like Nike.com doesn't have the $35 Catalyst anymore. Any thoughts on their other $25-$40 balls?
So is this basically a TG1? And this has the TGII dimples without the TG panel style? All I want is a 2006 WC Ball Lost 1, 1 got ripped by some idiot, and 1 is just completely beaten to bits, also sold 3 to friends for $80; I found some at $50 a piece a week after the cup ended
Any thoughts on the Jabulani World Cup Top Ball? (The $40 version of the real Jabulani pretty much) http://www.soccer.com/IWCatProductP...d=1&Ne=178&N=4294960224+368&Product_Id=529017
The team I played against today brought one of the new Nike Tracer balls with the EPL paint job. Might be the best ball I have used. Was the same team that had last year's Ascente a few weeks ago that I hated. Good job Nike. I'm gonna have to take out my Omni for a reevaluation.
Anyone have experience with the Adipure 10 Match Ball (the $99 one)? I'm looking to spoil myself with a quality ball... I'm a big Adidas fan... and I'm not a huge fan of the Jabulani ball. How heavy does the Adipure Match ball seem? I like lighter balls - I like my cheap Glider over the mid-priced Top Training, etc.
Hi, I just got into playing soccer while having played my 2nd game today. I bought everything but a ball. What are some recommendations for a ball? I was thinking about getting the Adidas Jabulani Replique soccer ball. If somebody can help me out, that'd be great.
Has anyone ever used Bremen balls? If so, any commentary on quality and the like would be appreciated. Soccer Ball World ( http://www.soccerballworld.com/Store.htm ) sells them at a seemingly good price. But the price is only good if they are good balls. I apologize in advance if this has already been discussed. I am just too lazy to go back and wade through the thread. Thanks in advance
I have 2 questions : 1) Does anyone own the new Nike Premier league ball yet? Saw it in Nike town and it looks like a really nice ball. Just wondered about touch etc. 2) Anyone who owns the monta freestyle 4.5 ball. How does it perform when it gets wet? appleCORR
ha. I havent seen it yet on google images. I read this quote about it 'You can literally see your own reflection in it! You could use it as a mirror if you wanted to I suppose.'
I don't own it, but I played a game with it. It feels great. On the foot, off the head. All good. Only issue I had was it carried further in the air than I expected so I kept having crosses go over my head. But that was the gripe with the adidas ball at the World Cup, and I've heard the announcers on Ligue 1 games say the same thing about the new Puma balls. If I was buying a new ball and money wasn't an issue, I would get the new Nike. If I see a good sale somewhere, I will pick one up. Otherwise I will just stick with my TGII and Omni.
Hmmm .... Does your EPL ball have little raised clear dimples on it? Its a toss up between the EPL ball or the new champions league ball. I do own quite a few adidas balls so wanted something a bit different. Plus ive found Nike balls in the past haven't held their shape as well as the adidas balls. But it has been a few years (maybe 5) since i last had a premier league ball. I have the scorpion ball. Hardly used it. Its in my room at the bottom of my ball bag. I did use it in the sun one time and was almost blinded! It is pretty off putting how reflective it is though. I would be willing to sell it though. PM me if you are interested (and no snide swopshop comments! haha) I will take some pictures of it as well as the scorpion cage kit i got with it many moons ago! appleCORR
I might be interested ha I have an adidas chrome champ league ball; wonder if the scoprion is shinyer than that.
I am looking to get a ball to use mainly for playing against a wall on hard surfaces (concrete, tennis court, outdoor racquetball court). I want something with less bounce than a normal ball to help keep the ball on the ground when it comes off the wall; but I also want durability. I don't want to get a futsal ball as I want a full size ball. I was thinking of either the Select Indoor Speed Ball (felt covered) http://www.soccer.com/IWCatProductP...d=1&Ne=178&N=4294960224+650&Product_Id=360322 or the Calle Primero (rubber street ball) http://www.soccer.com/IWCatProductP...d=1&Ne=178&N=4294960224+373&Product_Id=313573 What do you guys think? Any experience with these balls? I am concerned that the select might not be durable enough and that the primero might be too sticky for surfaces like tennis courts. Any other ideas?
I've got this ball which i use on concrete : http://www.prodirectsoccer.com/prodinfo.asp?PID=PDS-005-009-032&DEPT=5&BRAND=9&SS=1 Its not mega expensive and is really durable. appleCORR
I am looking for a Mitre Revolve Sheff Utd match ball used in the 2009/2010 season. Is anyone able to help me get one?
I got to check out the new nike tracer ball at my local shop. I couldn't kick it around or anything, but just holding it felt very weird/interesting. It feels like it has pores. Almost felt like holding a nerf ball/sponge lol.
I saw it in the Nike shop a few weeks ago. I want to give it ago. The past few Nike balls i have used have been a bit heavy and seem (to me) to have lost their shape a little. That's why i have always stuck to adidas balls because they never loose shape and seem a nice weight. But this new ball has gotten me interested!! appleCORR
