New Metro Season Schedule - Complete with times.

First of all, I personally think ESPN wanting to put games on TV at 4, KILLS attendance. And I think the league should stop doing things just for espn.

Then comes August. We have two Sunday games at 6?! If you're gonna put a game on sunday, that'd be the time to do an afternoon game. And another Saturday game at 6. WHY?!
My only guess is that Giants Stadium has told Metro they want them out of there earlier in August, thus the 6:00 start times?

Attendance will go down even more this year, with the different start times, and no sense of normality.

Also, planning 4:00 starts during the Youth Soccer Season, pretty much kills attendance, as all those youngsters are playing their own games, and not watching Freddy Adu on opening day.

So, you are complaining when the games start at 4pm and when they start at 6pm. WHEN do you want the games played? 2am?

Actualy the early starts suit me and my family with kids perfectly . I really don't see any problem with the starting times so we have a few different times but one has to mark their calendars anyway. The kids that play in the youth leagues should play all AM games between 8 am and noon. You can't expect a professional team to play at 8 am .My kid has games somewhere between 9 and 11 am and that is the correct way and should be followed by all youth leagues.

I for one cringe at the thought of getting out of Giants stadium 8 pm on a sunday in august when all the traffic from the Jersey shore is trying to get home makes the GW bridge a fooking nightmare...but what can ya do?

It would be nice if they did have a few weeknight games which would free up a few weekend dates for Open Cup matches.

Goalkeeps7: It sounds like you have already made plans for dinner on those 6PM Sunday games in August. What's wrong with 6PM? I think it's great.

It's not a problem for me. I will definetly head on over to the Swamp and hang out for a 6PM match in middle to late August.

Relax man and don't get your panties in a twist.

Yea I don't see a real issue with the times of games. The only times that bothered me ever were those noon hot as hell games in the summer.

4:00 PM games in the summer are great for me. Where is your proof that it kills attendance???

Are games supposed to be at only one time??

Who cares about the youth soccer games. Maybe I won't have to hear those damn horns.

Too bad you can't call WFAN with your conspiracy theories
