Unfortunately, all mine come from FC Barcelona...but here goes...:D

    Defence

Daniel Alves - Good Attacking Fullback. Not afraid to go forward and link up with the Mid Fielders/Attackers.

Puyol - Barcelona stalwart, organizes the back line and defends well.

    Mid Field

Xavi - Good vision and all round ability.

    Forwards
Messi - What is there to say about him that has not already been said in this thread? ;)

Bojan - Has good ball skills and strikers instinct. Needs a little more time to develop, but at 19, he is going to be a future La Liga Star, even if he is not playing for Barcelona.

    1. Messi , the guy is a pleasure to watch, its a show on its own.
    2. Ibrahimovic, granted he did't had the best season but his tricks and skill overall its amazing
    3. Ronaldo, Very fast and quick with his feet and can score beautiful goals.
    4. Xavi, beautiful passes and amazing posession of the ball with , also great set-ups to score. Its amazing seeing him play dictate the tempo of the play and find quick solutions no matter how many players are pressuring him.
    5. Villa, one of the best strikers in the world and will always find the back of the net, no matter whats situation he is in.
    6. Iniesta, as Xavi very fast at distrubuiting the ball/great posession and you never know what he will do to beat a defender or set up a goal opportunity.

Messi. There's no other player in the world that provides as much jaw-dropping wonder as him. Last season, he was marvelous in almost every single match.

I really love watching Xavi and Iniesta play too, but Messi is just astonishing.

    Iniesta and Messi

Andres has grown in leaps and bounds since Van Gaal game him he's debut.
The patience to stick around, used mainly as a sub for many years.
Now Andres is capable of the magic he performed in London and Johannesburg.
    Class through and through

Well on Messi, I do not have to say anything :D

#1 Iker Casillas: Amazing leader of both his national team and now his club team. He's an amazing goalkeeper and he probably doesn't get enough glory for it. He (literally) has saved both of his teams so many times; I fully believe that he is the main reason Spain won...without his saves Spain would have been knocked out pretty early.

#2 Sergio Canales: Only 19 but he has already scored many goals and is very promising.

Also, Alvaro Morata and Juan Carlos Perez, two adorable but promising strikers in RM's Castilla team. Juan Carlos debuted in the last RM vs Deportivo game, and I hope both will have many more opportunities to play for the first team and one day become a permanent fixture of RM

    1. Iker Casillas - Legend for both club and country
    2. Gonzalo Higuain - Hardworking never say die attitude has won me over. Brilliant player and only 22. A future legend of Madrid.

Hardly any mention of Messi, with one mentioning 13 names and still no Messi? Do I see an agenda? Anybody with a tiny bit of football experience and only a partial case of cataracts would know that not mentioning this once-in-a-lifetime phenomenon on any football/soccer top players list must be "funny" to put it mildly.

    > Top of the scoring list with 24 goals, which represents an annual pace of 41-goals, which would be 7 goals higher than his last year's Pichichi.

    > Topping La Liga's assists with 14, which means that 14 of Barca's goals were scored from his direct contribution over and above his own 24 goals, and which is way more than twice than Barca's very play-maker (Xavi's 5 assists), and 12 more assists than the player with whom he's sharing the scoring list, Ronaldo (6 assists).

And, yet, the best part is not even this. It's rather the excitement of looking forward to what he will do next time he gets the ball (other than having four players converge on him like bees, or getting fouled). He's guiding passes to Villa, Pedro and the rest with such ease, simplicity and perfect aim and velocity that's a real joy to watch. Case in point those two goals that Villa scored against Real Madrid after perfectly placed passes from Messi. It's happening with stunning frequency. As good as Iniesta and Xavi are, one can simply not expect that they place such precision, goal ending, connections so often and with such predictability. People who have been watching the guy almost know it's coming, as in "here we go again, just watch".

Messi did not exactly play this way last year; not with this incredible precision passing and constantly looking at who's running diagonally towards the goal, who only needs to have the ball placed in front of him to smack it in. Villa is soooo aware and in tune with this that the goals are only for him to miss, but he already has 14, of which probably half of them were started by Messi. Messi is surely growing into this on this season. He's finding out that the strings he pulls result in a great (and effective) show. Messi does not need to score to impress. He does not need to run like crazy to impress either, although El Kun may now think differently... With his very presence and with the way that he, or those he feeds the ball to, are scoring, he totally unbalances the defenses and creates spaces galore. He's truly mastering the potential that playing with Barcelona carries, which is a lot, and which is the reason that such celestial level would be hard to reach in a short time with another team. What he did in previous years, perhaps yes; what he's doing this year would take time. And for those who go around saying that Messi can only shine because of who he plays with at Barca, I'd say I'll believe you when I see Xavi, Iniesta, Villa, Pedro, or whoever it may be, with the number of goals and assists that he has while fighting off the 2, 3 or even 4 defenders everytime he gets the ball. What this guy does is just toooo good.

Listen to everybody, rival coaches, other teams players. It's a true weekly show. How can you leave the guy out if you still want to exhibit integrity? Now, please, do go back to those names presented on previous posts and assess how and to what degree Messi's level of influence on the success of their team do they match.

IT COULD BE THAT THIS THREAD IS OLD ENOUGH SO MOST HAD NOT SEEN THIS YEAR'S MESSI WHEN THEY WROTE THEIR PICKS? BUT THEN, WAS HE THAT BAD LAST YEAR?

Really hated C.Ron when he was at Man Utd. he was a massive show off. But when I saw him play for Real this season I actually liked him. He is more of a team player, not hogging the ball, and something he said recently about rather winning the champions league with Madrid than getting the Ballon d'Or makes me place him 1st.(accompanied by his skills of course:D)

I didn't realize that this thread was for Real Madrid players only.
Don't stop at just three. You should go ahead and list the rest of the team to complete the top best 11 players in La Liga.

And...don't forget to add at least just one player from another team after you've named the whole RM bench.

This doesn't even qualify as a decent joke because no humor was added.
...but it does induce a laugh, nevertheless. :p
