No need -- I apologize. I should be a better person than to be pissed off for this long a time about something this stupid.

It's all good. The fans were right the whole time. Coach needed to go. Just sayin' relax, jokin' about us, that's all. I'm a fan too.

Front Office needs to listen to ALL the fans and not dismiss ANY of 'em. JMO.

i'm generally not for using a DP spot on a defender, but hey FO, can you talk to Jay Demerit and let him know that if he doesn't seem to be getting a contract anywhere else, we'd welcome him?

What's wrong with the front office you ask? The janitor keeps forgetting to take out the trash in the CEO and General Manager's offices.

oh god, please NO - I'd use a DP on Zanetti or Cambiasso - But only if they were 28 instead of 38

At this stage I'd burn a DP just to get rid of Kevin Payne so we could start with a clean slate next season.

Actually, I would like both Kevin Payne and Dave Kasper to be DPs in its original meaning as Displaced Persons.

I wonder if KP thought that by removing Onalfo at this juncture it would take the target off of himself.

If so, I think that's funny because it sure looks like the target on his back just got bigger.

So theoretically if I post a thread titled "What's Right with the Front Office" it should drop like a brick and off the first page in a matter of minutes, right?

I'd get rid of Payne and Kasper. Put Zack in charge of the business side, including stadium pursuit and the rest. He has earned that promotion. Then I'd hire a top notch manager and give him control of the entire football side. Could be Cheatin' Bob or any number of others.

Clean out 50% of the team and start over.

Isn't the problem that Chang isn't a soccer guy and, even though he wants to win and do everything the right way, he doesn't know how, or at least think he knows how, so he has Payne as his trusted soccer brain?

He needs to find guy to start this thing over.

Thanks for the memories Payne but it's time for you to move on. I know that you are only supposed to be on the business side of things but from what I hear you make way too many decisions related to the field.

Chang not being a soccer guy shouldn't be a problem. He's a business guy, and that's really the only thing an owner should focus on (compare Leonsis to Snyder, for example).

Don't worry, one good fart joke or picture of a woman w/ big breasts and we'd be right back on track.

I agree. Maybe I should have been more clear. Chang relies completely on Payne. He should rely on other people to make the soccer decisions. The problem is that he is relying on the wrong one(s).

United has had 2 great periods that have coincided with two great head coaches (Arena, Nowak). Both of those periods spilled over to produce success under other head coaches for exactly one year (Rongen, Soehn).

I'm sure some will argue that Payne was just as instrumental as Arena and Nowak to those successful years but as far as I can tell, he hasn't had much success when the coaches have been average to below average.
