Liedson was not playing well in the pre-season friendlies, and sounds like nothing changed, maybe it's time to re-evaluate his starter status.

It is not out of the ordinary to see Carrico at DM. Throughout his years in the Sporting ranks, he was used at both DM & CB.

I do agree that I would of rather seen him play CB alongside NAC (who had a great game), but, Carrico did not at all have a bad game in the midfield. In fact, I question Paulo Sergio's decision to bring him off. Personally, I understand we needed more attack, but I would've placed Carrico back at CB and taken off Polga. Polga actually didn't do too bad of a job today, but Carrico was having a fine game and was one of our best players.

 

Very impressed with Bura, Caetano, Pinto and Simao. Paco got some talent!!
