Today at 5PM PST on ESPN2 and Univision.

Here's hoping that LD scores so that he gets his swagger back and that Edson scores so he can continue to show Bob Bradley the error of his ways. And here's to Omar's first cap. May he also do well.

Call me a Galaxy homer and being completely unrealistic, but here's to hoping that Buddle and Omar play a light and breezy 45 and then sub off at the half and that Donovan makes an All-Star Game-like 10 minute appearance at the end so he can bask in the NY/NY ovation...

And that all three are un-injured and well-rested for Saturday's game that actually means something....

You know what? You're right. This is just a friendly. So Edson's gonna score 2 with LD assisting on both and Omar will make spectacular plays and they will all do this in the first half.

Does this game have unlimited subs? It'd be nice to see Omar get in.

Yes, what you said. Plus, let's hope this game doesn't ******** up traffic on the 3 that badly. Or is that just me?

I would be surprised if any one of our guys is on the field for more than 30-45 minutes. Plenty of guys from Europe that probably need playing time.

All official FIFA friendlies allow 6 subs per team.

There's no way that happens. Bradley ALWAYS plays Donovan for the full 90. I guess that's a downside of being the fittest, least injury-prone member of the squad.

this is such a senseless game, the timing of this FIFA date seems to have pissed everyone off around the world. i hope our guys take it easy and don't get hurt. LD needs to recover. I wouldn't mind if Omar gets a decent run-out to see how he does against (very good) international competition and would love it if Buddle could get on the score sheet and get his mojo back (which Bradley stole from him!).

I know, in reality, this game is useless and doesn't help our Galaxy team in the least and all in all it would be better if they didn't play....but that said, I'm very excited for our guys. I think they're excited to be there - judging by their tweets. Edson even got to play around at the top of the Empire State Building.

I think they're all excited and feel privileged to be there to play in this awesome new stadium against none other than Brazil. And I am happy for them.

Here's hoping Edson and Landon score and Omar completely shuts down Pato and Robinho and whoever else Brazil wants to throw at him. And they all come out unscathed.

    Go USA! Go Galaxy!

Omar with his first cap, against Brazil, in an A friendly. Good luck my friend.

Him and Boca in the middle isn't any faster then him and Berhalter in the middle. We best not push up too much.

Bradley trying to help is 'ol NYNJ Metro-Bulls team and wear out our 3 most important players against Brazil....

Hopefully all 3 kick Brazilian butt and then get subbed out promptly at half-time.

But congrats to Omar on his first Cap. Against Brazil in front of 70,000 at the Meadowlands. Not too shabby....

You have to be happy for Omar. Getting his first cap, first start, and against Brazil. My man looked shaky and a bit out of place for the first 45, but came into his own in the second had. Made a few excellent plays. He looked like he ran out of gas by the 80th minute, but he definitely showed that he has what it takes to play at that level.

D, Omar Gonzalez, 5: No one along the U.S. back line had a good night, although the Galaxy man didn't do anything especially badly in earning his first cap. He won a couple of one-on-one battles with the classy Pato.

F, Landon Donovan, 6: Played as a second striker and was the only player in the U.S. attack who seemed up for the job. Should have earned an early penalty kick and made more good choices in the final third than his teammates.

F, Edson Buddle, 3: Clattered around a lot but had little to offer the match aside from one early ball to Donovan.

For the U.S., it was too much of the same old story. Bradley's side featured little striking power as yet another contest came and went for a bunch of forwards who just cannot lay claim to spots begging to be had. Landon Donovan was the best U.S. attacker, playing as a second striker rather than in his usual wide midfield spot under Bradley. Compounding the problem was the fact that the U.S. midfielders were overrun and when they had the ball, often misplaced their passes.
