This Thursday, the a-league playoffs commence with two teams who split the season series going at it in Portland. I hope Krammerhead shows up so I can punch him in the neck.
I say when the whiteCRAPS team is getting on the bus we give them a few words and pound on the windows. UP THE TIMBERS!
Tales from Vancouver Pretty pathetic when the Timbers have more hardscore supporters travel 500 miles to watch their team than the Whitecraps can muster at home. For your reading pleasure here is the report of our travels. http://www.soccercityusa.com/bbs/messages/573.html
Re: Tales from Vancouver 500 miles? From Portland to the US-Canada border is 278, and it's about another 20-25 at most to Burnaby. Of course when you lose, it just SEEMS like 500
Re: Re: Tales from Vancouver Let's see. 278 + 278 = 500+ miles. After all we did make a round trip. When you get stuck in Shittle traffic of course even a 10 mile trip can take a lifetime.

LOL... I still think the funniest part of any account is the 13 year old kids giving it to the big bad shed
Yeah, unfortunately that was a lie. There was one southsider and one of his friends (not a regular nor a soccer fan) who went over the the corner of the Southside to trash talk. It lasted about 5 minutes. Of course in the minds of people with small brains that translates into "the whole game".
But the real question is.... With the Softsiders travel? But there wallets, time and energy where their computer keyboards are?
As has been pointed out to you on the Southsiders board it's one thing to brag about having 15 people turn up for a game on a long weekend that was scheduled back in March as thats plenty of time to arrange things. It's another thing for the Southsiders to arrange to show up for the Portland game this Thursday given the fact that it was only scheduled after Monday nights soccer game. PS. You can brag about the 15 people who travelled up all you want. The numbers Vancouver had in Seattle on July 28th dwarfs that, but you don't see Whitecaps fans going from discussion board to discussion board trying to brag how good they are.
Let's all roll up to BC Who is up for the trip on such sort of notice? Let's see if anyone can show their club support across the border!!
Speaking of "rump"-Vancouver's 'keeper has a great ass! We'll watch him land on it time after time as Timber goals go sailing past...
Portland v Whitecrap threads You know, as boring as these damn keyboard wars have become, they never seem to get old. Hosers.
how WIDE do you want the goal... Bet PFE had fun cleaning up all those beer cups after the equalizer called back for offsides!!!
Cups Galore Those cups where coming from all directions, the Beer Garden did the best when they covered the field....... Let's get a win in BC to stomp the craps out!
There were 7 cups on the pitch from the beer garden, which is where I was the whole match. 12-oz microbrews for $2 a pop on Thirsty Thursdays -- ya gotta love it. If the Sounders land in Seahawks Stadium for 2003 I hope that they copy the Thirsty Thursday marketing gimmick, which has resulted in some of Portland's largest and happiest crowds. Prior to the match I visited the Bitter End and the 15 or so Shed folk there. These guys are all right when you meet with them in person -- at least that's my experience. I'd be glad to have any of them as Sounders supporters if their careers land them in Seattle. Kurt (a.k.a. Timbers Drumman) was kind enough to buy me a pint of Guinness, which I'll gladly repay next time he's in Seattle for prematch pints at McMenamins. I'm planning to head north for Sunday's VAN-POR leg. I've visited the SouthSiders behind the goal during past VAN-SEA matches and they're all right, too. Even if they do usually break into that "There's only one pea in the Pod!" chant when they see me. Maybe you young guys are just nice to me because I've got gray hair! My advice: What matters most is what happens on the pitch!
Funny sh!t http://www.users.qwest.net/~dallen3/timbers.html Allison also as a full match report and a nice video of Hall's phantom call at http://www.soccercityusa.com/timbers/vanc090502.htm
