naturally I'm not an LA fan......far from it......so I have no feelings whatsoever regarding el classico, but isnt it possible that gordon asked to be traded to chivas because he didnt want to move? maybe he loves LA and doesnt want to go back to portland....i know i wouldnt
Very possible that when he was told that he was on the trading block that he requested to stay in LA. For me, if I were an LA player and about to be traded, I'd rather play in muggy Houston or cold New England or rainy Seattle than stay in awesome Southern California and play for Chivas.
the feeling is mutual in this deal Us Chivas fans are not exactly excited to be getting a Galaxy player. I would also bet if he had to go he wanted to stay in LA. Close to family and he very settled into the LA area and lifestyle. It will be weird seeing him walking down the hall and not snickering at him. Clearly freeing up cap space for a signing. Congratz on whoever you're getting. How much will AEG raise ticket prices for this one ?
I think the Galaxy is clearing cap space for a possible bigger signing. Weirder things have happened before.

Damn..I was thinking the same thing too when I first saw this news. And not just golf..who will Becks playing bet with - like who's making who's breakfast today and things like that? And who's gonna 'reward' Gordon once he managed to score a goal or penalty later on now that Becks isn't his teammate anymore? LOL! But yeah..sad to see Gordo gone. He's like Galaxy posterboy to me.
