Anybody interested in driving to Toronto for the Sept 11 game?

Last year I drove up with 3 other barras, we split the rental car and gas, and it was a TON cheaper than flying.

Hotels are available in toronto, despite the film festival.. anybody interested in this?

Also if nobody is interested in driving all the way, anybody want to split a rental car from buffalo?

The match is 9/11. I believe Jay is working on roadtrip details for this match.

also i just stumbled across a hostel right downtown for those of you (like me) who are really cheap and dont really give a shit where you sleep... its $23 a night for a bunk or $30 each for a 4-bed dorm that is only people you know sleeping in the same room as you

    http://www.downtownerinntoronto.com/

So if i can find 3 people to drive up with me on friday, spend friday and saturday night, and drive back sunday this is the budget we are looking at:

    Hostel: $240 total, $60 each
Car Rental: (assuming the price is the same as last year) $150 total, $37.50 each
    Gas: (assuming 30mpg and $2.50/gallon) $90 total, $22.50 each
    Match Tickets: $25(?) each

Total Travel + Match Ticket Cost: $580
Tavel + Match Ticket Cost each: $145

And then food/beer costs on top of that.

i'll be staying about an hour north of TO in Pauley's old stomping grounds.

GF dropping me and her brother off at pregame location, picking us up later.

    i'll need two tickets, eh.

Do you want to make this the official Toronto thread or do you want me to close it and start a new one when the time is right?

Just to update this... after talking to Pat at the tailgate yesterday, the need for a rental car is no longer there and the price just dropped :)

If we still go the hostel route, our costs are $240 for the hostel, $90 for gas, and $27 for match ticket

Travel + Match Ticket Cost $357
Travel + Match Ticket Cost each: $89.25

Or we could go for a real hotel, probably around $200 a night and our costs would be $400 for hotel, $90 for gas, $27 for ticket

    Total $517
    Each $129.25

just booked the hostel at $246 total for 2 nights, with a parking space included... brings cost (with gas, hostel, match ticket included) to $444 total or $111 each if we have 4 people.

I think we have 4, but there might be 1 seat in the car, so speak up if you want in!

Anyone have a free seat to ride up? The car pool I was in fell through. Also, if there is anyone else interested but needing a ride, I'll be willing to drive if I can get one or two others to share in gas money/driving time (I'm guessing everyone else already got plans this close to gametime).
