i hear 400-500 galaxy supporters are coming. are our two main groups (ESC and GSS) gonna be on the same page with chants for this or be out sung by away support like other home games?

    1. Yeah, it is on FSC... so i have no idea how that TV discussion got as far as it did.

    2. IIRC - and someone please correct me if im wrong - this game has been broadcast by FSC every year since Beckham signed. Makes me wonder why ESPN hasn't placed a higher priority on picking this game in the first place.... they've all been excellent in the Beckham era.

Your right about that..the game has been great since then still remember the 5-4 red bull-galaxy i was at when jozy and jpa had a brace. You would think ESPN would want to show the two largest markets play against each other but w/e

400-500, I'll believe that when i see it and if they are LARS members I welcome them warmly with fond memories of the MLS cup trip (2008)

I was able to get extra tickets in 102 on Thursday or Friday, 101 was soldout

I'm assuming you're a season ticket holder? Reason I ask is I called last week and couldn't even get a single ticket. MetroFever wants to be there. :(

I'll gladly play Red Bull fans above face value for the match, but not to the brokers who bought entire rows and are hawking them online.

PS- Galaxy defense got shredded by the Chicago Fire today as they are no longer a "sure thing" to be in MLS Cup. Galaxy were down 2-0 after 5 minutes and 3-0 after 19 minutes with the fans loudly booing.

Side note, but I just want to pat ourselves on the back because it seems like when RBNY is down in a match--even if it's early or late--at the Arena, the crowd's first instinct is to get amped up and sing and spur the team to come back and I really really really like that. Not saying I blame Galaxy fans after that start and there are situations I'd boo like if it looked like the team wasn't putting in the effort....but my first priority is what will actually get the team motivated and that does the trick best. So let's keep that up. And back to the topic

My ticket rep told me it's sold out or I'd sell you one at face value. I'll ask if there's a chance for singles.

my buddy passed that info onto me, but anyway 50 tottenham supporters were louder than the south ward being no one was on the same page in chanting. dont get me wrong i sit in 133 and sing and chant but i'm not affiliated with either group and sometimes it sounds like our end has marbles in there mouths from across the pitch

I don't know know about all of that, I enjoy our supporters group energy and loudness at every game, but hearing the Tottenham supporters sing so fluidly and in unison left me in awe.

it was awesome how good they were, but i was in 102 and they were louder than us at some points and the Spurs game was over. all i was saying is a little unison between the two larger groups on songs would be a good idea. i also know people that sit in other sections that say it just sounds loud and not coherent coming out of the south ward. Believe me I'm not trying to be negative, I love the atmosphere down there and wouldn't change my seats for anything. Sorry just my 2 cents

all i'm saying is that you better not be one of these people who sits in our section and then complains that we are loud, obnoxious, standing up and what not. YOU SIT WITH US, AFTER LYING ABOUT IT, YOU DEAL WITH US.

Well, ironically, 101 may not yet know how to bring it all when the stadium is actually full:rolleyes: I think some of the "muffling" was due to the larger crowd. I sit in 107 and I certainly couldn't hear much of the Tottenham fans; but I also thought 101 didn't have their best game:eek: I'm hoping that they are fully amped on the 14th:D

If you still have it I'll take it. Fly in that afternoon and want to check out the new stadium. Drinks on me.

Yeah - I think it might have been an odd group in 101 because it was a high priced friendly, but regular games 101 is much louder than they were for Spurs.

It's mostly this. Remember that this isn't part of the ticket package and quite a few people will go to a regular season game before shelling out extra for a friendly

Is anyone in MLS really that amped up for friendlies anymore (Outside of KC and Philly)? No visiting team has ever come into RBA come close to touching the South Ward.

Listen to a league game (namely Toronto and LA) to see what I mean.
