That's not the half of it. The Dynamo tied it up and then those two ran onto the field. I didn't see them hug Henry, but I saw security guards run on the field, but since they were young, they were running circles around security. One of them tried to go to the sidelines and jump to the stands but he was stopped as he was getting up.

The other one ran behind the goal and leap through the bushes... but the elevated wall won.

It's a miracle....Angel's "sprained" ankle is healed! :D...and Dane Richards goes back to his usual self. :(

When the Red Bulls went up 2-1, I don't believe they had a shot on goal the rest of the way. They actually played better when it was 11 vs 11.

It's pretty telling when Henry is the guy who assists on both goals and not the midfielders. That's why I don't think it's a slam dunk that you see this team in the MLS Cup even with Marquez aboard when the midfielders on this team have very little creative ability.

Goat of the Match is Backe. He waited too long to make a defensive replacement (Robinson) as you could see guys like Tchani were tiring.

By the way, 70,000 Houston "fans" gladly paid overpriced ticket fees to go see Manchester United's "C" team (which it was) in the All Star game, but don't come out to support an MLS team that has played good soccer since inception.

Whoever said it used to be better is probably right, and this game was a little strange. I think we have great atmosphere, but it's not like Seattle. I've been to two games there and I like what we usually have better. Two big supporters groups singing and playing percussion and horns, fans jumping and waving flags. Some games are louder than others, though, and this one wasn't a very loud crowd, though it was pretty big. Maybe you didn't notice, but the noise level did increase after our second goal. It was odd, though, we usually have chants that are picked up stadium wide, but that didn't happen in this game. But it also might have to do with mic placement because there was chanting and singing at both ends.

And props to those guys who did the jumping and singing for over 90 minutes in temps that felt like 105. I was covered in sweat before I got to me seat.

Good luck the rest of the way, I sat in the section next to some of yall in the Cup game in LA two years ago, I can't say I cheered for you then but i felt your dissappointment when you lost. It looks like yall have a great team now. It must be nice to have owners that want to spend money to get big name players.

We're curious to know, which of these two guys was you?:

Dude, many fans here have already stated that the red card was the wrong decision. You conveniently left out the part where Roy Miller was fouled at midfield which led to the first penalty kick call.

I can see why you missed it....it was probably right after security escorted you out of the Stadium for jumping on the field.

Where do you think the other 40,000 people would go after the Rob is filled at 30,000 (you do know the two games were played at different stadiums, right?) We had over 24,000 for the game tonight, which is more than many of the SSSs around the league hold. And if you've ever been to Robertson you would know that no one was there for the luxury accommodations. There were 24,000 people there that love fútbol.

Just want to say, this +1.

Robertson is an absolute piece of shit in an awful part of town...but its OUR absolute piece of shit in an awful part of town.

Also, the guy who "tried to go up into the stands", did make it into the stands, and was choke-slammed over the railing by the guy standing next to me. I'm talking...double-handed-choke-slam. It was sick, and awesome.

Good game, you guys play some attractive soccer, but we're gritty mother********ers and we always find a way.

you're right, that was awesome hahaha.

kinda bummed that we didn't end up winning the game but Angel and Henry looked good up top with each other. easy to stay optimistic about this team[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UjHxxowSml0"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UjHxxowSml0[/ame]

If you had read the entire thread you could see that it was said that his foul was at best a yellow card so go blow...

Agreed - the whole team was playing way too casually for a long stretch before the equalizer - he needed to make some changes because you could see it coming.

Mullan made a great play on the final equalizer.... Either Henry has a good amount of rust or he was just having "one of those games". I'm not worried and you could see the quality but I don't know why anyone is calling it a strong performance. He missed two chances that should have been academic too put away. It happens I guess...

Backe clearly screwed the pooch too. I even understand going for the third goal, but once you hit the 80th minute you have to bring in a defensive sub...especially for two aging strikers making big money in humid 90s heat. Keeping them on the pitch didn't make sense for THAT GAME, let alone for the season, OR for the protection of investments Red Bull has made.

You have to give them credit though.... they did say that RB failed to win to a team that is in the bottom of the table, missed a penalty and lacked a man for a good portion of the game.

Not Henry's fault of course... but that stuff did happen in the game.

The more I see this picture the more it bothers me. This put him in danger. To me that is not acceptable.

Same, they could have just as easily been Irish nutjobs.

Albright sucks imo.. He's our worst player on the field. Gets caught in no-mans land too often and is horrible on his touches.

Get Hall, or whoever else in there for him. It's just not good enough.

Bad luck on that last goal... Mendes has to do better but tough to get mad because he's done a nice job in general.

Tchani did good, especially early on but late in the game he started playing poorly. Panic touches and just blasting it up the field to the Dynamo isn't the way to go.

And I think Kandji has to play as attacking mid. Gotta get him more involved. Sucks Lindpere would have to move outside, but it would help the team imo.

They don't look Irish to me...

I think we were lucky to have gotten Henry before he and JPA had a chance to really work out their dynamic because I expect to see some crazy fireworks before this season is over. If Henry is satisfied to be the setup man, Angel is going to get a lot of goals this year.

On the flipside, we did get the benefit of Henry's first MLS game and it did us well. 24,700 tickets is above our average and on a brutally hot and humid day, that is a very solid turnout.

Davis should have sunk that second PK, but then Henry should have converted on at least one of his golden opportunities, so sometimes we have to settle for the draw and call it even.

I don't understand the fascination with Kandji. To suggest he should be the attacking midfielder on this team is absolutely ridiculous. That is something from the JCO play book. Or a page from the metz book of logic. Lets take an inconsistent forward who has never played in the midfield before, has a poor first touch and no vision on the field and play him as an attacking midfielder. Does anyone remember how bad Kandji has looked at times? Those two friendlies have really changed everyone's opinion of him. He is a forward. He also didn't play poorly on the wings early in this season and he had an ok game on the right yesterday. No way should Kandji be put in the center of midfield.

I very much disagree with the notion that he has a poor first touch. He seems very comfortable in a tight area and seems to have good vision with his passing. I just think that people maybe have formed opinions on Kandji when it's pretty clear that he's getting better as time goes. Good character guys typically do get better.

Just saying i'd be interested in getting him out there at that position. Backe feels the same way so it will be interesting if we see it some time this year.

Nobody is doubting the fact that Kandji has talent and tons of potential but he is so frustrating to watch at times. He makes poor decisions with his passing and he holds the ball for way too long way too many times.
