The man crush on this guy is ridiculous. I remember enjoying 동방신기's music as a high schooler and appreciating the musical talents (albeit not much) very few past 'idols' had until I found out about their 빠순희s which caused a turn and made me go on a hatefest. Suk Hyunjun's a likeable player, why must you idiots make him so dislikeable? It's as if there is a written rule somewhere out there that each time he does anything even remotely significant, the news needs to be stretched into an incredible proportion and everyone here is required at least one dickriding comment about how he deserve a spot in the national team when the reality is that he's not even the best forward in his class. Big. Fcking. Come. On.

    Haters gonna hate...

El Hamdaoui is officially Ajax's new #9 for the next 4 years but Mido's deal could be falling through.

Hm? I'm not taking any of this seriously and I've got plenty breath left in my lungs. Thanks though.

I suggest you go through some pages with all the comments about how Suk Hyunjun should have been included in the World Cup squad, though. I assure you none of it has anything to do tongue-in-cheek.

Anyways, I'm going to ask you to stop chasing after my dick and constantly responding because you obviously didn't get the message when I sent you my sincere PM. Old members have done well to set the standard for the quality of posts that were made in this forum. World Cup came and gone, and left a lot of idiots in this forum. Now it's just filled with bunch of one-liners that are distant from being witty remarks. It's not reasonable for any new members to have a problem with a man who is trying to enforce quality.

Chances are that none of this stuff on BS is going to get through to the Korean NT anyways. We're just discussing what-if's so don't go off PMS'ing on us.

Efforts from both sides are required to have a worthy conversations. Like I said, go read the page where they are talking about what the World Cup squad should have been. It's only a few pages back.

Seriously now. Are we discussing what should have been, a month into our elimination? This isn't even the half of it.

Anyways, I don't understand why all you idiots need to get over my nuts. If you've been around long here enough, then you know that I can fully cope with humourism (if not amongst those encouraging it) and I am also far from being an angered anti-social internet guy. Is it really entirely out of your understanding to sense a trend of Suk Hyunjun love that is way overdone, when it has been explained time and time again that he's far from being the most promising player out there and what he has accomplished in Ajax's reserves (seriously?) does not match the ridiculous hype around this player? If anything, it's your problem for making some people repeat this over and over again.

All I can comment on is his situation with Ajax.

Suk is currently not starting Ajax quality. This is the case with most 19 year olds coming up through the youth academy. Most of them don't break through until they are around 20-21 and Suk has shown to be no different. There is a reason Jol feels obligated to try and bring in Mido.

On the flip side Suk showed up as an 18 year old with zero reputation who doesn't speak the language. Since then he has not only developed into one of the stars of the reserve team but he has earned a pro contract and featured in the Europa League against Juventus. Every time he hits the field he's going full tilt. It's really not hard to find a reason to cheer the kid on.

Is that intelligent enough conversation for you?

Oh yeah one other thing. It only takes Suk 20 minutes to watch 60 minutes. In addition, Suk is also the only man to defeat a brick wall in tennis.

I guess you didn't read the part where I said I had no problem with humorism. I also don't have any problem with optimisim. When the deal came down, I was amongst the first to report. I've continued to post his articles all throughout the year and summarised interviews just for the viewing of those here. If anything, I am one of his biggest supporters.

The point I'm trying to make (or have already made, but people can't seem to cope with) is that some here need to cut the habit of creating a discussion about his availability to the national team. Being a European and a supporter of a bigtime club, it may not be so obvious to you, but people here are clearly suffering from the stupid "European club = national team" mentality. Being a bench member in a European club does not merit a spot in the national team, no matter how young you are, especially if he's never done anything else even remotely worth mentioning. He's never been the most promising youngster, ever thereby not the best in his class. There are other players ahead of him.

Now if you are someone that believes a bench member and a regular reserve show up in your club deserves a spot in the national team, then you may kindly leave because nothing here is intelligent enough for you.

I breezed through most of what you wrote after I read the part about how blind love has turned this thread into a bunch of idiotic commentary & one liners. Did you mention it after this?

No, I said World Cup left a lot of idiots and their no-good one liners. Blind love has lead to incredible overjoy, ridiculous hype, and silly discussions about bringing an undeserving player into the national team.

You used your "oh I didn't read that part" card too early, my friend.

Hey, Mr "Suk Hyun Jun's biggest fan", i cant believe your going crazy about nothing.
If people, including me, want to say that he could have been in the WC squad or Suk will be a future star then let it be, because it is a personal view. If you want to try and change one's view then try because its worthless.
When i look at the thread title, im pretty sure its about Suk. That means we are all here to talk good about him. If you have problems with him or the "man-love" of Suk (LOL) then go make a new thread and talk there. Im not going to say anthing because its your own personal view.
BTW, if we go by the those logics you have posted, then Guus Hiddink must have been the biggest idiot in the world for picking Park Ji Sung who had no 'merits' for a place in the 2002 world cup squad

Sigh. This thread must be where all logic comes to get flushed down the toilet.

As if starting a 'Suk Hyunjun should have been included in the World Cup squad' discussion wasn't stupid enough, you are now making comparisons to Park Jisung. Seriously?

Park Jisung was already at the national team before Guus Hiddink came and prior to the national team, and he had already been playing a key role in the Olympic team. Suk Hyunjun got his first significant playing time in the U20 team during the prelimanaries last year after his signing with Ajax. Park Jisung had been playing regularly (Wikipedia says 76 league matches) for over two consecutive seasons by the time 2002 World Cup was around. Suk Hyunjun hadn't played 100 minutes of first team football prior to the World Cup.

After getting scouted by Yongin FC, Suk Hyunjun spent four years in a very good footballing academy. Yet, as their best player for two years, he never lead his school into a championship title, never won a goal scoring title, and obviously never won any MVP honors. Besides making the Ajax team, he's achieved absolutely nothing. So is it such a big deal to ask for people to delay any national team talks until he actually does something worthwhile besides simply getting a contract? and perhaps cut the crap about the World Cup spot he deserved over someone who had the most World Cup goals of all Koreans, or a K-League goal scoring leader. There were/are players like Seo Jungjin and Ji Dongwon who achieved everything as high schoolers, and made immediate impacts as rookies, and there weren't a hundread posts asking for them to be called up.

Forum Nazi, you're exactly what you claim not to be, a humorless and arrogant boy. How smart can you be if you think sending a PM to people asking them to stop posting because YOU don't care for it will actually work?

Seek help seriously and need I remind you you're not a mod so you're Internet berating is a joke that makes only you look foolish.

This site gives you the tools, start your blog so you can separate yourself from the riff-raff you consider us all to be.

Jeez if you don't like what's being posted here, why bother logging in? There's the traditional saying that a monk who dislikes the temple should leave (절이 싫으면 중이 떠나라). Maybe you should take note.

Sorry I couldn't make it through your first three posts where you were calling everybody idiots and dick chasers to make it to the part where you claim you aren't humorless.

Try to be a bit more pleasant if you expect everybody to read your posts.

i don't see how J2 can be considered superior to Eredivisie reserve league, Eredivisie and UEFA Champions League experience, especially if the guy is scoring about 2 goals for every 3 games played (do you know any korean striker doing that at ANY level?). Pretty similar if you ask me.

no matter how you look at it, a fit, talented, confident and hard-working 18 year old player with experience at one of Europe's best teams should be given a chance if an extremely unfit, lazy player about 8 years past his prime is even being considered. especially if the young guy seems to be improving rapidly and can bring skills to the national team that are woefully lacking, namely the ability to hold the ball up and the willingness to make runs into the box at key moments - i haven't seem any korean strikers who have shown these abilities consistently. against uruguay, the korean team could have used a big guy to do some post play, and this in turn would have helped pjy immensely. pjy was so busy doing the grunt work, and was having to drop back further to receive the ball, and this limited his opportunities to score. it would have made a big difference to have a guy like suk to play off of.

ajax1.nl reports this as the starting lineup for our match against Twente today for the Johan Cruijff Schaal.

[LINEUP-4-3-3]Urby, Suk, Suárez, Enoh, de Jong, de Zeeuw, Anita, Oleguer, Alderweireld, van der Wiel, Stek[/LINEUP-4-3-3]

I expect El Hamdaoui will sub in on the second half but if this is true, HUUUUUUUGE opportunity to Suk to make a statement. FC Twente we league champions by a point over Ajax last season. It's kind of a minor trophy (winner of dutch cup vs winner of league) but it will be a competitive match. The winner will have surely have a mental advantage going into the beginning of the season.
