He must have been disappointed to see Farias go last season. Farias actually liked him. I don't think he's featured at all this season. I read that one of his parents is half-Korean, barely making him a third (fourth?) generation Zainich. No reason to treat him as one.

I had a talk with a couple of the players and it seems that the atmosphere around training has changed 10 fold since the departure of Cha. I think as it is with most coaching changes, our players knew they had to come together if they were going to be successful and it seems they have really bought into Yoon's system. From what i've heard, that is the reason why they were able to sign these last 2 big players in Takahara and Hwang Jae Won. While visiting the team, they could feel a sense of excitement. I am also sure it didn't hurt that Samsung gave them a blank check to sign whoever they needed. I'm really excited about Hwang coming but have mixed emotions about Takahara since he hasn't done much recently. Add that to the fact that we already have Ha Tae Kyun teamed up with either Yeom or Jose Mota up top, seems like a signing we didn't need that badly. We will see...
Djeparov moves to FC Seoul Seoul: In a major setback to Uzbekistan champions Bunyodkor, former AFC Player of the Year Server Djeparov has joined Korea League side FC Seoul on loan. FC Seoul are currently third in the K-League with 27 points, a point adrift of leaders Jeju United, after 13 rounds. The club announced Djeparov’s signing on its official website on Monday. “He has a great killer instinct and can play as an attacking midfielder and striker also,” the Korean outfit said in a statement. “He got fame from Korean fans when he scored two goals in the first leg of Bunyodkor’s AFC Champions League quarter-final last year.” Djeparov, 27, said it was dream come true for him. “I have wanted to play in the K-League since long and it’s an honour to play for FC Seoul which is one of the best teams in Korea,” Djeparov told the website. “I saw Seoul’s matches in last year’s ACL. Though, they failed to reach the last four stage, they were very impressive,” added the Uzbek national team captain. “I want to be a player who can help the team more than playing longer for them. I will do my best and try to show beautiful football. I hope the fans here will support me.” The 28-year-old has scored eight goals in 58 AFC Champions League appearances for Pakhtakor and Bunyodkor. Djeparov has found the net 12 times in 61 matches for the national side. Djeparov started his professional career with Navbahor in 2000 and joined the then domestic champions Pakhtakor in 2002. He moved to Bunyodkor in 2008 and helped them clinch the domestic double in the first season itself. He was chosen as Asia’s best player in 2008 after he guided Bunyodkor to the 2008 AFC Champions League semi-finals when they lost to Australia’s Adelaide United 3-1 on aggregate. http://the-afc.com/en/news/29864-djeparov-moves-to-fc-seoul

Re: Djeparov moves to FC Seoul Wasnt Djeparov the lad who had some training/trial (?) at Chelsea FC when Hiddink was around? I remember something like that. Anyways welcome to K-league Djeparov!
Re: Djeparov moves to FC Seoul He was invited to Chealsea for some trainee when he was the best player of Asia in 2008, but he didn´t use that opportunity.

Re: Djeparov moves to FC Seoul Djeparov, in my opinion, is one of the hottest prospects in Asian football. He's a great addition to FC Seoul. I just can't believe how FC Seoul obtained him as Bunyodkor are a team known for spending millions of $ on the players and Djeparov is one of the most important, if not the most important, player for them. Do you have any "behind stories" about his transfer to FC Seoul? I'm sure there must be something else other than the money.
Re: Djeparov moves to FC Seoul its just a loan, isnt it? nevertheless a great pickup by FC Seoul. that Portuguese gaffer knows his stuff
