After 30 mins, a very entertaining match with quality chances for both sides. Sporting's defense looking a bit shaky on through balls.

Salamao looking dangerous, Mati looking interested though there was a crazy exchange early on which should've seen him or Liedson net the opener. His header for the first goal was fantastic though, nice cross from the young RW.

Santos and Veloso looking decent as the MF partnership, they were controlling the match early on, but Spurs are starting to gain momentum.

A great find, Sergio should be a scout. He played with Casa Pia and the coach told him he'd be a star one day.

Veloso looks out of shape! Sell him. Andre Santos is okay, still young and will likely improve with experience.

Just got back from the match, and Sporting with a complete new 11 showed something we never had depth. Matias, Veloso, and Andre controlled the mid well. Salomao is very impressive, and will be the next Nani. Liedson looked a bit slow, but will see him improving.

Spurs first goal is clearly offside, but Sporting reacted quick, and in the next minute or so on fantastic goal, by Matias from a left footed trivela by Salomao that had the whole stadium in AWHHH, including Spurs fans. Valdez's goal also comes off a great build up, from the right, and ends up on the left for Valdez to blast a low shot past the keeper. Spurs second comes off a mistake in the mid I believe Maniche, but Patricio could've done better. A missed PK call, but a tie was enough for the trophy.

Nice showing by Sporting, still want to see Saleiro full time, with Yannick on the left, Salomao on the right.

This is my favorite line up.

    -------------Tiago-----------------
    JP------Carrico----Torsiglieri--Evaldo
    ---------PM-----Maniche-----------
    -Salomao-------------------Valdez-
    ---------Liedson-----Saleiro--------

    ah

PS will have headaches on how to set up this team

two strikers or 1 with matias?

at least we have options and the team has been playing in 4-3-3 and 4-4-2.

Actually all I've seen from PS is a 4-2-2-2. Allways with two DM's with Celtic and Man City with PM, and Maniche, today with Veloso, and Andre.
Let me add that Andre is a excellent player, no wonder they sold that rotten apple.

yeah but Moutinho went to Porto, you know what that means. suddenly hes a good player and O jogo blows him 24/7. he shoud be sold for 40 million according to Portistas

Not in the defensive wings though. Grimi and Abel are awful, even though the first is slightly better.

André Santos is not a DM but he did the role well. Zapater would be a nice addition though.

Pongolle continues to look like an expensive mistake.

But truth be told, Liedson was the worst attacker on the field. He looked slow and hesitant. Didn't seem slightly enticed with the team's groove.
Hope he gets back to his old self, but I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't.

I would choose this team to what I've seen so far:

    --------------------Tiago-------------------

    J. Pereira----D. Carriço--Torsiglieri-----Evaldo

    ------------P. Mendes--Maniche------------

    -------M. Fernandez----------J. Valdés-----

    -----------------Postiga-------------------

    -----------------Saleiro--------------------

    ^^ THIS

Salomao is very useful on the wing to let him rot on the bench. He gives us an attacking option. Mendes/Maniche will give us some depth and experience and the front two, will bring us goals!

I hate to say it, but I agree.

Liedson might be feeling that his days are numbered with all this new depth in the squad; he better step up his game.
