I hope soccer fans all over Houston come out to this game. This might be the spark to get this team going in the 2nd half of the year. After the All-Star game, I hope soccer fans invite their friends to the Dynamo game. Let's show Henry what the MLS is about.

The Dynamo need to hype this thing like crazy and I hope they do it at the All-Star game when they will have 70K captive audience. Wouldn't it be great if we got 20K+ to this game?

I dunno, beer lines get a little too long when you get over 20k.

You're really going to have to get Prawn Sandwich Brigade access next season. It's so civilized and the concierge beverage service is just wonderful.:D

I'm thinking Superliga is giving them the spark. Atleast SL,CCC, and CCL did in the past. I think we're rebounding.

It will be interesting to see if Henry can mix it up in a very physical league.

Physical league? You mean like the EPL?

No, probably in the sense that most MLS players lack the skill of the EPL and therefore use physical strength/thuggery to compensate.

Today on Sports Nation they were discussing replay in soccer and brought out Henry and asked his opinion. He said (these quotes are not exact, but close enough) "I think on all goal plays replay should be used" to which Colin Cowherd replied "So you are saying on your handball last November against Ireland you would want that play reviewed and overturned" to which Henry said, "Not just for my play, but for all plays"

...or just throw at 'em a shitload of Tampax tampons dipped in Gorilla Glue.

He should get aclimated with MLS rather quickly and me thinks he will want to end his career on a high note considering how recent events have gone down for him.
Having JPA as a strike partner must help ease the transition as well.
He probably won't know what hit em with the heat n humidity down here for his debut, but I think he will be chomping on the bit to get after MLS backlines.

    Meh.

Henry is coming off the Mundial with that wreck of a Frog NT. But obviously still high quality footballer.

    Landin.
Landin is so far away from NT quality that he couldn't even get a sniff from the Mexican Federation.

We can all expect Henry to tear this league up. The fact that he no longer made Barca's gameday roster is hardly indicative of the skills he still possesses.

though he has slowed down in the last few years, i agree.

what a nice couple of days for houstonians and houston soccer fans - the allstar game and henry in town.

If you weren't at the game tonight, they passed out cards advertising Henry's debut game, and they ran an ad for it on the big screen.

I bought tickets to the game, my first since a dreadful DC United game two years ago.

Is there a spot I can go to to try and get an autograph?

Pre/Postgame: North West entrance, you can catch players as they drive in.
Postgame: North East side of the stadium. It should be barricaded
