    How much are your memberships???

HSH is 20 bucks and I get a T-shirt, patch, my first beer is free, the membership to drink at the HSH bar, and discounted nordecke tickets. I'm glad the SG's aren't pocketing cash for stuff like that. They sell scarfs and stuff but that's not required to be a member.

    also pics or gtfo

Similar for SoBs. You get a jersey, membership card, and tailgate discount for your membership fee. Most of our large flag poles were broken for the last match, so I'm not sure what's going on with that.

nice. what size pipe (pvc?) provides enough rigidity to hold those up?

metal 20 footers, they're not very rigid it's just that we got so much practice doing this for years since overheads look terrible at RFK :D Plus once we catch wind we just sail it ;)

You know, pvc actually might be better if you use joint parts to link a few, I tried using that long ago to make a big flag pole (since we had to sneak in anything over few feet) and it was way too rigid to wave.

PM "NewTex", he has put together a few few similar sized uprights. IIRC, he used both wood and pvc. Here is a link to a project he led last year: http://bit.ly/weWvG

Hmm take girlfriend out to dinner or buy a flagpole... :D Hopefully DU will manage to get a normal section soon so we can start collecting ticket money to recover these costs.

They are pricey.. I'm scared to think how many I've bought in the past, might be uncomfortably close to 100, but I recovered that money through selling Barra merch. It's hard now but gotta suffer a bit to lay a good group fundation... It'll certainly be easier with tickets, merch and membership money and then we can put DC back on map. And certainly easier to do larger scale stuff with more people, bit limited on what we can pull off with 10 of us haha

    Runnin outta pics :D

Depends on the size really. The poles I've purchased for the larger flags used in The Fort in New England cost about $35, this for a 20' foot extendable fiberglass pole: http://www.jackite.com/index.php?cPath=41_44

Like we say in jazz terms, "that guy has some chops"! I've heard those trombones on match broadcasts and it sounds like a drum and bugle corps.

Kinda hard to do displays for that tournament, SuperLiga is 20% more punchy than league matches.
