    We should cap players who deserve to be capped (and this may very well be the case w/ Mix), not to prevent them from possibly playing w/ other national teams.

    Also, the Brazil friendly won't cap tie him to us.

    Trust me guys we can forget about hoyos. Maybe due to the fact the he denied a call up from rongen to a camp but later accepted one from argentina gives me that idea. His intention is to play for argentina, atleast for now :D!!

    Depends on what you want on the list, guys who we want to cap(ture) of dual nationality, or guys we can really get?

    Still, in terms of the multi-nationals, my list would go:

    1. Michael Hoyos, MF, 18, Argentina/USA, Estudiantes (Arg). Looks set on Argentina, for now.
    2. Mikkel Diskerud, MF, 19, Norway/USA, Stabaek (Nor). Prov. cap tied to USA.
    3. Danny Mwanga, F, 18, Congo/USA, Philadelphia (MLS). Dad killed in Congolese civil war, went to HS in USA, reunited with his mother. Good chance here.
    4. Daniel Williams, RB/CM, 21, Ger/USA, Freiburg (Ger). Germany U-15's. Not against USA.
    5. Marco Vidal, LM/LB, 24, Mex/USA, Indios (Mex). 2001 USA U-15's.
    6. Yura Movsisyan, F, 23, Armenia/USA, Randers (Den). Has Green Card. Citizenship on the way.
    =============================

    Guys like Tchani (Cameroon/USA), Zakuani (Congo), and Najar (Honduras) are also worth keeping an eye on. Najar has stated a preference for Honduras. I don't know about the status of Zakuani and Tchani, but I don't think they are eligible to play for the USA right now, unlike the others. (Mwanga IS eligible, I think).

    Please correct any errors or omissions.

    man I don't want to get attached to the idea of hoyos playing with us and then resent him for not going with us

    This game would still mean nothing as far as 'cap tying' goes.

    Very true, but an upside is that he will see that we are very serious about wanting him to play for us. It could be a vote of confidence at the very least, and a strong persuasion at most that helps him choose us. We are getting to that point where we command a decent enough presence to draw guys from top national teams if they think they may not play much, if at all, with those teams (see Zahavi).

    As for Mix, I know he wants to be called up for us, and I'd bet if we did he would pretty impressed with that. He has said he wishes to play for us and if he has the ability I think we should start integrating him. From what I've seen (a few matches in full and multiple highlights) he looks like a very good prospect.
