I'd enjoy watching this forum implode if Fulham did sign Bob

Murphy and Etuhu would be perfect in the back of the empty bucket. We'd need some sort of exchange program with Fulham boards to teach them the finer points of Bob-bashing.

Agree it would be a win-win. Force USSF to hire a new face and give a quality American coach an opportunity overseas.

Haha yep probably so. Unlikely to happen, but would be cool. Just curious, do Fulham get auto-qualification in Europa league or CL qualifying based on their making the final last season? If so, would be really cool to see BB coaching in Fulham in Europe.

Nope. According to lots of people on the internet, Fulham were to qualify for the Europa League via the Fair Play standings in the Premier League last year, but according to this: http://www.uefa.com/uefaeuropaleague/clubs/country/index.html, they're not there.

Oh my gosh...i would love to see the heads explode of certain BB bashers..it would be classic.

Realistically, BB is not that bad. It is the next step in the cycle. Only recently are Mexicans being considered for jobs abroad (Aguirre, Sanchez). Eventually a US coach will make it. The fact that BB would be mentioned on a short list, made up or not, is significant progress.

On the one hand, if Lawrie "Dirty" Sanchez could be named as manager of Fulham then there is no reason RoboBob could not be named. On the other hand, Mr. Sanchez is still disentangling his butt from his noggin' after his lynching [justified, but oh so cruel] by the Craven Cottagers. Bradley should realize that anything less than substantial success at Fulham, say 85% of Hodgson's standard, will lead him to look upon his days of "BS BB Bashing" as his own lost Garden of Eden. :D

One good note, for EJ, is that after the Cravenites get their taste of Findley they will ne'er again have a harsh word for the GAM Man.

I think Bradley would be better of starting out in Europe with a Championship level team instead of Premier League. It would give him a little less pressure, and a little more time to learn the ropes.

"Better yet, Bradley could give chances to guys like Robbie Findley and Omar Gonzalez who he has first-hand knowledge"

How exactly would these guys get a WP, especially Omar?

    Garbage reporting.

ya it really is. And the article focuses on the thought that Bradley would for some reason just start bringing in American players jsimply because he coached the national team.

If he was to be named the manager at Fulham ( which I doubt he will be ), it would be completely separate from his current position as the MNT coach.

Guess you didn't catch this part of the article from the Daily Mail:

Another contender Alan Curbishley is believed to be pessimistic about his chances because of a chequered history with two of his former players Danny Murphy and Paul Konchesky who have an influential voice in the Craven Cottage dressing-room.

If Bunker Bob did come to Fulham, would this give EJ a life line @ Craven Cottage??? I believe he is still on their books.

Bunkering is what most teams played at WC. Just look Germany.

please don't compare the German "bunker" to the US bunker. Difference is Germany has talent, desire and tactical know-how to get forward at pace and succeed. If it works, then why would you change? Klinsman started this and the new coach has evolved this system with a very young group of players. Germany has scored 4 goals 3 different times this World Cup, bunker this. Australia, England and Argentina were the victims of the bunker.

Yep. The truth is, if Fulham has a down year, which is quite possible -- even inevitable after the heights of this season -- then he'll be in a really bad spot. Whoever takes the reins at a Fulham in these sorts of circumstances is basically putting a target on their own back.

Bunker Bob was always a stupid myth of Big Soccer. We led the Concacaf Hex in scoring, and we attacked well in this WC. So this Bunker crap comes from people who know nothing about soccer.
