buddle didn't get enough PT to finish in south africa

it is obvious he should have started over findley every single game.

This is true. I just gagged seeing Bunker Bob on TV. He did miss a few chances; not many though, but he also didn't create many. Findley is a complete joke. I do like the Landon/Edson connection on Galaxy.

Once the cheering subsided after Buddle's goal, some dude in my section yells out: "Hey Bradley...did you see that!?!?"

All he did was score 2 goals / start. Edson is a starter he should have started. I really don't think Bradley was an upgrade over Arena. We are ready fir a new coach

speak for yourself LucasDurant16. I am a USMNT fan, so tell me how was Buddle supposed to make those world class finishes from the bench? Surely you can't be upset at Buddle for not starting in S.A.... I would say it should read, " Dear Bob Bradley" instead.

He may have heard you too. Walked right by Bob as i was walking in. Great game. The pounding on the Sounders is becoming just as gratifying as the soon to be (if the rumors are true) ex-renters. Good times!!

LOL. I hoped he heard him. Every time when the US was struggling in the world cup I'd be all like "Where the hell is buddle?! Put buddle in! He's got 9 goals in MLS already!". But of course he barely put him in, and he shows bradley how good he is at the game. :)

I will wonder to my dying day if Buddle would have finished that chance Findley had in the first half vs. Ghana. I bet he would have.

I said the same thing as soon as Findley f'd it up. No doubt in my mind Buddle would have nailed it.

If you asked me that last season, I would have said Buddle is a hit or miss kinda guy and scores the easy goals, but this year he has a fire in him that I hope stays for a long time. Buddle is incredible these days and I bow at his skills now. With the skillz that Buddle pulled off in pre WC against Australia, I was really really surprised not to see Bradley playing him more in the WC.

As with all WC coaches we have, they all seem to do the opposite of what makes sense!

I'm sure Bradley has been having a lot of second thoughts over his choice of lineup. Buddle certainly showed him Sunday night what we missed out on in S. Africa with him. I hat the USMNT is out of the World Cup, but I am glad to see both Donovan and Buddle back in Galaxy jerseys.

This is a cheap analysis, but Bradley seems to make his line-up decisions by formula. So in his formula, he needs a fast forward to play off of Altidore. Since Findley was the fastest forward, he started Findley. It was almost as if the ability to finish, head or pass were not relevanzt in this equation. Frankly by what we saw in the world cup, i would have had Findley as the 4th forward and Altidore would have been spelled by Gomez more than he was.

Great goal by Buddle. He was also classy in his remarks after the games, saying that he would have liked more playing time, but he always wants something (or something to that effect).

As to the people bashing Bradley in this thread: Get over it. The guy coached a great WC. He made a lot of decisions that people disagreed with. Many of the worked very well. A few... not so much. It's in the past, and there is no use arguing about it one way or the other.

Let's just celebrate having Buddle back, and get him a hat trick against NE!!
    :D

Buddle rules. I was so disappointed for him that he didn't get anymore time, but unlike Gooch, who calls out the haters and doubters every chance he gets, Buddle lets his play do the talking.

That header goal on Sunday was nothing to scoff at. He freaking went and got that ball. It was not an easy header by any means.

Still miffed at Robobob's decision not to play him over Findley

True enough. Even a Buddle cameo was still better than (shudder) having to watch Ching lumber around out there..
