Eh ? He did well at River and Villareal and played some exciting well organized football with Real.

Can't do any worse then the current shower we have.

Pellegrini? I am not sure if we will ever get a foreign coach, ever. Plus I agree, he is just average. I recall some article last year said to get Pep in, so he knows how to play Leo. That wont happen either. Not sure where we go with this. Diego wont step down though, gotta stick with him for another year. This is what is so so difficult, we win CA(Not even sure I can say that, since Brasil beat us at home) will AFA extend his contract. They need to move now.

I respect your opinion, but i, for one, dont like him. IMO, he wasnt that good in River, but obviously that's a personal opinion.

Man I don't care about the CA, we should use that as an experimental tourney.

Batista or Cappa are the two that i consider as the best solutions right now.

Sometimes I need to see and deal with those pictures so I could feel the pain. I left after 3-0, I could not bare watching the game anymore. My father was ranting on and on, that did not help much either.

Agreed. No team has ever won a WC with a foreign coach why should we be any different?

I agree with this. The UAR link makes it realistic though the UAR doesn't have the same "mystique" as the AFA.

Enough congratulations has already been posted. If you are looking for more try elsewhere, wrong place and wrong time. I would've hoped you were smart enough to figure that out on your own.

Edgardo Bauza? Winning the libertadores with LDU was no small feat.
Or Sabella, but I don't like the way he plays.

I'm sorry but this is what is wrong. All that counts is winning the title and building up to tournaments.

So what if a coach is foreign. If he is the best candidate for it so be it and let's hire him.

I'm talking about a winner like Mourinho say for the one tourney. That said we have plenty of decent coaches who could replace Diego but need more experience like Gareca.

The AFA needs reformation and it need's to be decisive and realize what needs to be done for the good of the seleccion. Not this or that person's advantage. The seleccion represents Argentina on the global stage it's far bigger than anyone of them.

Get the best people in so that this talent is not wasted. Messi at this rate will miss out in 2014 and 2018 and the other kids like Angelito, Banega, Pastore and the other kids behind them too like Zuculini and co.

Otherwise same story as before. Quarters and out. With out talent pool is that good enough ? Okay sometimes one can go out to a team that just had the luck in a match or a decision go their way but not to get thumped 4-0.

and i see a lot "this is an average german team" and "this german team is lucky"... this team scored 4 goals in 3 games out of 5, if anything its not lucky or average...

I am getting a bit tired of the German fans in here still wanting something. You won 4-0, okay.... There will be 1 WC winner. The more you guys are talking in our forums and talk nonsense the more I am going to root against you so you feel pain in losing and being so close.

Lol, so when you win you come and "well wish", while demanding more congratulations? Justice would be Spain beating Paraguay then destroying Germany.

Let's see if they feel like well wishing then.

If Maradona took Zanetti and Cambiasso and started with Samuel, I dont know if we would have won BUT I believe we wouldn;t have lost 4-0

ANyway I have bigger problems as I now have to get all my spending money for my hoilday from scratch

IMO we have to cup the crap of the 86' generation. Batista is a disaster with the sub-20. They all need to go.

I'm sorry but what exactly were you expecting in an Argentina thread? Some of us gave the respect and praise this German side earned. Some however are more upset than others and this is their place to voice as much. If you don't like it you simply don't have to post here. Aside from this thread and the one in your forum we also have one in the WC forum. Visit there if you need your ego stroked.

I also heard that Veron had a fallout with Maradona, which is why he didn't play again. Honestly, i do think that the team played better with Veron, than without him.. no matter how unpopular he is outside LaPlata..

Let's face it in the mishmash organization none would have made a difference.

Ordinary players if coached to a system and well discipline can pull off good results.

Look at the way the Paraguayan defence operates ie 1998/2010 or that of Uruguay albeit their defence is slightly more vulnerable minus Godin.

Zanetti and Cuchu were past it anyway. Banega would have been ideal as we all said to help Masche and act as a deep lying playmaker.

If Samuel was fit he should have been played with Burdisso at RB. Oh well.
