Too many weaknesses were exposed last game to leave the starting 11 & formation the same for this game. German's deserved it. See you in 2014.

Right here, like I stated earlier. We get built up and then get thrown down. It was fools gold, end of story.

Losing to an average side is embarassing and at least England scored two goals.

Where was Ozil today that great player ???? Masche was eveywhere. Our gameplan worked for the most part but to gift a present of an opening goal is shameful Schoolboy defending and yet again another sloppy opening 20 minutes.

Did I not say I hope we concentrate on defending set pieces ? Otamendi as I predicted diving in again.

Hope he never plays again for us.

At 1-0 we had them on the run. Game stretched but no killer finish. Their keeper looked shaky and then we gift a second.

Pastore and Aguero come on we lose shape both goals come from the flank vacated by Otamendi and on the counter.

The score may be 4-0 but this is not a great German side they are average and yet we make them look great.

No midfield as I predicted the balance was all wrong. Messi too deep. Tevez having to come deep. Aguero when coming on deep. Pastore wide left ??????

Higuain disappointing. We should have subbed in Aguero early on gone to di Maria up top with Aguero and Tevez and Messi in the hole or Pastore in .

We need to find a rightback Ansaldi is fine for the left and get a proper coach perhaps even get Mourinho in for 2014 specifically.

As it is we must get rid of the older players like Heinze Dimi and restart afresh with the Copa 2011.

Another 4 years. Hope Spain win tonight because they will for certain expose these overrated players.

We were really poor apart from 45'-67'.

    A disgrace.

This hurts, but it for some strange reason it doesn't hurt as much as it did 4 years ago. That was one of the most heartbreaking moments of my young life, this however was a game were all our weaknesses were exposed.

Weaknesses which we talked about for years.

Do I blame Diego? Yes and no. Yes because he picked the wrong players, worries more about his image then his coaching skills and was downright arrogant and irritating these last few years.

No, because I genuinely thought he had brougth back the much needed self belief. But that turned out to be a bust too.

Totally agree, hurts less but still hurts. I can not bare to see any more futbol. I do want to hear about our loss. Diego's heart was in the right place I agree but it was his mind that cost us.

At least you actually controlled a half and threw it away and didn't totally embarass yourselves.

4-0 heaviest defeat to what is if you really analyse it a pretty average side whose goals come on the counter or set piece.

This one does hurt no doubt and for a myriad of reasons but I agree that 2006 was more painful because unlike this match we were in control and had we won we would've likely gone to the final they way were playing.

I was cheering for you guys today. In my opinion Diego got literally everything wrong from his tactics to his player selections. However, he could have easily changed the formation to accommodate the style of play the Germans have been yielding throughout this tournament. He screwed up, big time.

    :)

Carioca, when does the Brazil league continues ? Wasn't it next week ?

I think both Argentina and Brazil are the most dumb teams in group stages, because they are meant to be more than reaching the last 8.
I will skip this WC right now.

No. I'm not. I'll take our average side and leave though. Thank you for a good clean game otherwise.

While we are all very disappointed, was this really unexpected?

We are all enjoying the little run but deep down we knew that our team selection and tactics were a disaster waiting to happen. We knew we would have to eventually meet a tactically strong team, and then everything would crumble.

Anyways whatever, I am just a fan and I will always love Argentina....

It's cool. Don't take the result too hard. Nobody was expecting it. Germany just played with less fear and clearer heads. Because they are all kids, who albeit very talented, have no reputations to protect right now.

I agree, this tourney is done for me. I keep holding my head and say time will move go on. I do not care who wins this thing, if I had to pick up it had to be the Dutch.
